I aint trying to provoke anything.
Im stating that normal working class people arnt going on regular visits to the Merc showroom.
The people that can afford them wont be to perturbed be a tariff placed on them.
It was hardly inflammatory.
Nothing is in isolation, other popular "working class" car manufacturers are also based in Europe. Make all of them more expensive and suddenly people are putting off buying a new car, they are running their old one for longer and demand drops.

So you are an "example".
I don't think earning below the average wage is the definition. I know artists and writers who you wouldn't consider "working class" although they earn very little.
Is this hard for you to grasp.
Im merely stating that a trade tariff wont make to much difference to someone that can afford a Merc , Porsche etc.

I wouldn't define Working Class by a salary. There are cheaper EU made cars than Mercs.

City FX traders placed (or got people to place) large bets on remain with the bookmakers who everyone was using as a bell weather. This slashed the odds for remain and caused a huge spike in the value of the pound and the FTSE. Huge profits were made placing long bets on both of these rises by the City. Similarly when the pound reached £1=$1.50, large short positions on the pound and FTSE were opened and it was shorted down the same City boys, making money on the way up and on the way down. Never believe the phrase the bookies never get it wrong. The odds can be manipulated with relatively small sums. The polls at the end had it neck a neck, yet some bookies had remain as short as 1/12 on.
I was talking to another accountant who told me a client of his made £70,000 by betting when the odds were 7/1 on for Remain.
I's not like the bookies had a body of knowledge and experience to guide them. They had the polls and that was it.

Im talking high end motors.

I don't know why - you talked about BMW to start out with as an example of car manufacturer and as people have pointed out to you, non-high end motors are also made in the EU that are very popular in the UK.
If i knew how to highlight certain points in the pist i quoted it may have saved some confusion for peoples replies.
My apologies to all the offended parties.

I wasn't reading the discussion you were having. I just read the bit about you referring to working class.
If somebody can only afford £10,000 for a car and another person can only afford £100,000 for a car they would be equally affected by a 10% increase in price. I agree that some people may afford a lot more but like the £100,000 car but I doubt there's many who aren't affected by price increases.

I'm not offended but I am confused as I don't understand what point you are trying to make. Why don't you try again.

Well thats simple then Peter.
You cut your cloth accordingly.
We cant always have what we desire.

I think Trump will be elected. It's same as the EU Referendum. The Remainers are led by the establishment who make threats and scare stories but the majority of voters dislike the constant lies. The Leavers are the outsiders and so is Trump. The one thing Trump will do when he gets power is he'll appoint people to put his ideas into action and they will filter his ideas to what is achievable. You see a lot of Remainers saying everything is doom and gloom and you can't do this but they will be amazed at what can be done by people of determination who don't follow the crowd.

I agree completely, and I've been saying the same since Trump first appeared on the scene.
The American people have had enough and are demanding a sea-change. Just look at how the price of almost everything has sky-rocketed under this administration. But wages have stagnated (in effect, gone down because of real inflation -- not the bogus version they force-feed us).
Almost everything the Dolt-in-Chief has inflicted upon us during his reign has been divisive -- not least, all his same-sex marriage and transgender chicanery (imho).
Meanwhile, he allows professional jobs to be exported to rival nations such as India and Mexico, while our home-grown talent has to mortgage their life away if they choose to get an education.
I could go on -- and I know you certainly could -- but I'll sit and stew on it for now.
