I'm more than happy for you to go as long as you don't play domestically too. The game's far bigger in this country than just six clubs.
funny thing is, Man U and Liverpool will be a massive loss, they are like the grandads.. The other 4, who gives a ****.

when you’re a fan of that club...it’s a different road you’re on...the detachment isnt that easy once you put your anger to bed and start to actually think about it.
I don’t agree in the slightest. I’d have exactly the same view if we were part of it, in fact id be even more livid that our owners had treated the game and our fans with such disdain.

But Everton are an old fashioned club, with values.

My lad was born during that cup final in 95, i had to leave the pub...

We’ve just spent the best part of 2 years consulting with fans and the local community about our new stadium plans and the legacy project for Goodison.

Yet these ****s didn’t even tell their own management that they were plotting to completely **** up the entire football pyramid, and just all put out a statement on the net. Utter twats the lot of them, from the Glazers through to Levy.

But that’s how I feel too...I’m trying to understand why everyone is crying about winning trophies to get the invite when clearly it’s not about that...it’s about the money. You’re telling me these clubs are skint...that’s not even the point.

The clubs invited are the most financially valued clubs...simple as that so I dont get the rage at why teams like Spurs have been invited...you know why.

**** all to do with wether you or Comm thinks Everton are more worthy of the invite...so with that in mind I see exactly why Spurs got the invite.

Didn’t say I agree with what is happening

I sense the damage is done either way... I can't see a way back if even it don't go ahead...

The fans of these 6 clubs have already turned, and despise their owners even more.

You won't be leaving the league (in the ESL version) you just won't be playing in the champions league anymore and instead you'll be playing in this new thingy.

yeh I know that...but what is being mooted is these clubs will be thrown out of the PL if they join the SL so that would leave the clubs with no domestic league to play in...which is fair enough but the PL product will take a massive hit wether people want to accept that or not and I bet anyone that they would let the 6 back in if it went tits up because as grounded as people think their clubs are...their chairman would accept the increased revenue and sign up to it again

bet ya?

Them being skint is exactly the point though. They want a ROI and thus need to increase revenues, solely because they’ve pissed away every incremental amount of dosh they’ve received over the years on players and agents. They’ve now also come through a year of haemorrhaging money due to COVID so have decided they want some back, and have launched this abortion of a plan.

The ‘value’ of the club is a subjective nonsense of an argument btw, they’re worth what someone is prepared to pay, not some notional value stuck on them by Forbes.

This plan pre-dates the coronavirus. They just want a larger chunk of the money. You're overcomplicating it.
