Holy crap

Whyte won every single round and knocked Povetkin down twice. Povetkin then knocked out Whyte with a bang on the money punch - lights out.

Unbelievable KO.

I love it when that stuff happens.

Even moreso when you put a few quid on Povetkin, and sit there in annoyance as he gets his arse whooped. <laugh>

Complete shock. Whyte has won every second of that bout. Povetkin looked dead on his legs at the end of every round.

Shocker.

Unbelievable shot

Upper cut from knee height...right on the button

Out before he landed.

That’s heavyweight boxing, but shock result (Whyte was 1-4 on beforehand)

Even though povetkin went down twice he didn't look hurt, whyte has always looked open to an upper cut with the way his defence is and unfortunately for him he was hit with one of the best uppercuts we will ever see!

Povetkin had shaky legs at the end of the first round and every round after that. I think he went out in the 5th round with the mindset of getting a KO as he was otherwise done for.

Said the same
That was a punch from someone who knew it needed finishing soon

Undone by a sucker punch. Whyte was by far the better boxer up until the KO.

He was much better, but it was hardly a sucker punch, it's whytes weakness and he took advantage of it, you've got to expect people to try and make the most of your weaknesses and defend against them, Whyte didn't and left himself wide open. Upto that point it was only going one way

Povetkin was that bad he didn’t look capable of landing anything.

But he did and it was an easily avoidable punch from whytes POV! Hopefully he learns from it and tightens up. As we saw last night, one punch in a heavyweight fight can turn the lights out.

Which is why Whyte will nail him in the rematch. All Whyte needed to do was trample all over him in round 4 when he put him down twice. He should have been all over Povetkin like a cheap suit. The 5th round and lucky punch wouldn’t ever have happened.

The action of a desperate man in deep water pulled off a more than unlikely victory.
