Or a fighter not quite ready to be a world champ as proved by letting one of his known weaknesses bring him down? He'll learn from it and go again, but probably shows he wasn't quite ready for his world title shot.

I wouldn't call it the action of a desperate man either, more an experienced man known exactly when to take advantage of a gift and handing out a valuable lesson.

This unexpected loss will probably do him more good in the long run then a win would have

We’ll keep going round in circles here. Povetkin was totally dead on his feet, he barely had any gas left in the tank. He had managed absolutely nothing in rounds 1-4. It was desperation as he knew he was 4 rounds down and getting absolutely battered. You could see from the corner at the end of every round the concern.

Whyte will get his title shot, as he will beat Povetkin in the pre agreed re match.

There are a number of contributing factors.
As we get older, muscle content tends to lower and change to fat. Also, the amount of water in the body tends to go down. This means you will have a higher blood alcohol content than a youngster for the same amount of alcohol consumed. Also, as you get older your metabolism slows down meaning you get rid of alcohol out of your blood slower.

So its not in your head, you're a lightweight ;)
