Judges had interesting cards. After 9 rounds, all thee judges had Wilder up 85-84. After 4 rounds they all had it 38-38.

Wilder has power and fast right hand.
He’s dangerous but if Joshua does hit this guy clean, he will be knocked out. Look at his legs FFS. Antique tables look stronger.
I totally understand that there’s a hype train in the UK about AJ and there’s no denying his defence worries me. But I’m 100% confident that he hits harder than Ortiz and he has much faster hands than King Kong.

I understand where you're coming from and I do like Joshua but IF this fight happens I think Wilder wipes him out within 8 rounds. Yes if Joshua lands clean Wilder could be in trouble but Joshua has no defence and his foot work and movement are terrible
This is a really interesting fight. Both men have chin problems and both have serious power. Height about the same, reach about the same. For mine, A.J. has been better schooled, but Wilder has the better ring movement, he's faster on his feet. After today's fight, I think Wilder may have the weaker whiskers ... maybe. I think Wilder hits a lot harder than Klitchko, so can A.J. climb from the canvas if hit by Wilder? But A.J hits a lot harder than Ortiz, so if Wilder gets belted like he did in the seventh, A.J. will finish him. And although Wilder might get more shots in, he lacks heaps in defence. For me Smoke, I think A.J. has the advantage there. ( But what do I know.) Another thing, can Wilder give A.J. two and a half stone and a beating?
And for all of that, I've got no idea on the outcome. But if the fight comes off, it'll be the biggest boxing spectacle we've had in years.

Thing is, Klitschko had much more skill and technique when he got to AJ- I’m not sure Wilder is as skilful. He’s quicker, but he throws that right from a long way back.
If Joshua hits Wilder I’m convinced he knocks him out in one. Would they slug it out over a few short rounds or would it be cagey early?

Wilder is a madman. One thing he showed was patience. He hardly threw that right; but when he did .............

Joshua is too pedestrian and someone will flatten him. Could be Wilder who showed he can get out of the way and never lets anyone off the hook.

I was always firmly of the believe Wilder would ice AJ, but having watched Wilder in his first proper test I am now less sure on that. For whatever reason he didn’t try to box Ortiz and never got his jab going at all which I’ve seen him fire out like a piston in his previous fights... did he feel Ortiz could outbox him? For periods the older man certainly did. I’d say AJ fundamentally is a more accomplished boxer, and can actually set up attacks better which Wilder didnt do. Why use a jab to start off something when you can just windmill your punches! The one thing Wilder has is a savage killer instinct once he has caught you, he’s supremely clinical.
So much posturing between the camps, the consensus is that Hearn wants the fight less than the American camp does, but Fast Eddy is doing a lovely job of bullshitting that one, as is his way! Only so long they can delay it surely, beat Parker up and team AJ can’t really run away much more you’d hope?

I think one of the problems the Hearn - Joshua camp has is the mandated defences. I'm not sure, but I think Joshua has a WBA mandated appointment with Alexander Povetkin. He should be ok with the IBF as he's just beaten Carlos Takam, so he has some breathing room there. There's a chance that Wilder will be asked to take on their next in line, maybe their No 1 Dillian Whyte. And who knows what the IBO want? Of course the respective organisations can waive their mandated bouts, so anything is possible. And if I was in Joshua's shoes, I'd want to be taking care of the money side of things too. But seriously, I don't think either camp is scared of the other.
Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has tested positive to the banned substance Clenbuterol. It seems that the drug has the ability to strip away weight without affecting the lean muscle mass. Golden Boy have issued a statement saying that the contamination was due to meat consumption. (The standard defence.) WADA have said that the sample found trace levels consistent with what would be found in contaminated meat. Of course Alvarez might be innocent of any wrong doing, but what to do about the positive test? Is he a cheat or a victim? In these times of free passes, I wonder if Canelo will get one of those slap on the wrist type punishments?
After going down to Frampton in 2016, Scott Quigg had a chance for redemption in today's shot at Oscar Valdez's WBO Featherweight crown, but he's blown it on the scales. He came in 2.8 pounds over the limit and as a result forfeited his chance at the title. He will go in as the 33-10 underdog, and probably will fall short, but I have to wonder what is going on, especially as he had Freddy Roach as his trainer. Who's to blame for crap like this?
The big fight news though belongs to the Sergey Lipinets - Mikey Garcia scrap in Texas. The Kazak, IBF Super Lightweight Champion will have his hands full trying to fend off three weight champion Mikey Garcia, who will be looking to become a four weight champion. Garcia still holds the WBC Lightweight Title, but will probably release it sometime this year, after hopefully a unification bout. He hopes to then jump to Welterweight where the decent money is found. But he still has to get the job done against Lipinets who is 13-0-0 with 10 kos and a big right hand.

Crazy this one Cyc- Quigg has gone up in weight too, so he should be more comfortable making weight, not struggling! Very odd.
