Bob Arum and Tyson's hope of an early tilt at the WBO belt has come unstuck. They had hoped that his win over Tom Schwarz might catapult him into a title shot, but the WBO have just announced that Oleksandr Usyk is the new mandatory. From what I gather, the WBO mandatory might be the next cab off the rank, so if either Ruiz or Joshua take another avenue, the belt could become vacant. It's hard to keep all these titles together, so fragmentation might not be too far off.

Ok I don't know the numbers, but some of the forums I've been reading say a boxer can expect to pocket somewhere between 30-40 per cent of his purse after management, training, expenses and tax. If that's the case then Andy Ruiz was maybe left with a possible maximum $2,000,000 from his Joshua bout. Teddy Atlas and a heap of others are of the opinion that Ruiz was low balled at $5,000,00. Others say 7 mill. It was take it or no fight. Top end, Ruiz ended up with 2.8 million.
According to a site called Givemesport, Andy has splashed out $450,000 on a Rolls Royce Phantom. I hope he doesn't end up with his arse out when the ride's all over.

Again "they" are saying that Ruiz signed the original contract which stipulated that his purse for a possible second fight stood at $10 million. Ruiz now wants $50 million. Personally, I don't think either of them is worth that, but Ruiz deserves at least as much as Joshua. It'd be terrible if Matchroom low balled him.

Frank Warren has stated that he's open to having Miller take on the former champion at Madison Square Garden on October 5.
According to British Boxing News, Bob Arum, Tyson Fury and Frank Warren have all let slip that Miller is the man.

Absolutely disgusting but both of them are drugs cheats at the end of the day so let them have at it!
And me too mate. I'm of the mindset that in boxing and MMA, fighters who get caught using drugs should be banned for life. That doesn't happen and never will, so the world keeps on turning and we carry on as normal.
If ever a boxing fan wanted proof that the WBC is full of ****, the latest Canelo move demonstrates it. To allow the WBC Champion Canelo Alvarez to side step any mandatory bouts, which there by leaves him free to take the big money fights, the WBC have invented a new title called the Franchise Champion. He now owns that Title and Jermall Charlo holds his old belt.
That's bad enough, but when the Interim, Diamond and Silver World Titles are added to the Franchise and Full Title, it all becomes a joke.

Look where the WBC is based(Mexico city)I had a little look at their history. It appears to be murky to say the least! With some alleged corrupt dealings with Don King. Surprise surprise that, that cancer of boxing should be involved!
Wins last night for Jermall Charlo,D Andrade, Kal Yafai and Joseph Parker. Yafai is chasing a super fight with the likes of Estrada and Gonzalez after making the 5th defence of his world title. Andrade is making noise about the Canelo fight that has been mentioned in the past. I've voiced my opinion on this before and I do rate Andrade very highly but think him vs Canelo would not make good viewing. Parker continues his comeback, chasing rematches with Whyte and Joshua, the only two men to have beaten him. He might just get what he wants sooner than previously expected as the only man to have beaten current unified king Andy Ruiz his stock seems a bit higher than seemed likely immediately after the Whyte defeat.
I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with the fights I saw. Joe Parker looked slow and cumbersome against Alex Leapai and I think would now struggle against the likes of Whyte and Ruiz. He just seems to have regressed.
Charlo's bubble burst for mine.I wanted both brothers to strengthen their divisions, but seem to have leveled out. Jarmall Charlo, the WBC Middleweight Champion couldn't blast out Brandon Adams and the longer the fight went,the ordinary he looked. I'd give him no chance against Canelo, and even the old age pensioner GGG would hand him his head in his hands.
I haven't seen the Andrade or Yafai fights yet, but from what I've heard, Yafai pretty much dominated the fight. (maybe the low blows helped)
I'd love to see Yafai get the fights he wants. Juan Francisco Estrada, and Roman Gonzalez bouts would be classics.
