It really is great to see the lad doing so well, over the last 3 years I have watched him develop under Pennock and Beale, and was always a stand out performer. Great credit to him stepping up to first team football and grasping his chance with both hands.
Well he's not proven is he? A small handful of token short appearances and getting torn a new arsehole in many of them isn't what I'd call proving.
Scored a goal in an FA Cup match against PL opposition, held his own on debut at the Emirates, don't think he was some raw unproven kid.
Yes at any great lengths, how many games did he play for us?... 5/6?, he wasn't an established first team player, he had/has huge potential but that's all it is ATM....take out all the bullshit about his agent/allams etc and look at it as purely football and he has imo made the wrong choice at this stage of his career, he should be playing week in week out.
He didn't make a choice at all. He was on a scholarship deal with only one club offering him professional terms.
Really....you seriously believe that no contract was offered? I'm pretty sure this had been done to death on here, it was offered then changed ( ****s trick ) but there was still an offer of a pro deal. Plus where did I say he should have stayed?? I just said imo at this stage of his career he should be playing week in week out!! How many times has he played for stoke this season BTW??? I'm pretty sure it's 0! Edit....sorry I think it's 1 in the cup
Yes it's been done to death and those that know what they're on about have told us, as you mention, that he was offered a deal which was later withdrawn, and at the end of the season when Stoke came in they didn't offer him a deal to stay here. Indeed Ehab thought he could force him to stay by 'automatically' extending his scholarship deal and was left red-faced when that backfired. Tymon didn't have a choice to make; there was never more than one club offering him a deal.
He played fourteen games for us, five of them in the Premier League and he's an England U20 international. At the age of 18, that a major achievement, by any measure, and it was ridiculous to end up losing him for a compensation fee.
Nobody has suggested it was a good deal for the club, but some are suggesting that he's a **** for not turning down a good deal and agreeing to play for us for peanuts instead and others simply don't think he was any great loss, which I don't agree with.
How many on here have changed jobs for an extra 10, 20 or 30 quid a week? The club (Allams) thought they could and tried to extend his scholarship contract by 1 more year, that would have kept him on the same wage as earlier, some said 160 others 500 a week whatever it was it would have been relatively low. He had an offer from Stoke for thousands a week (some said 7 grand) and yet some of you think he should have stayed with us to develop more FFS
More out of desperation and lack of numbers than anything. He never made a case for himself, he was thrown in because we literally didn't have anyone else. If Max Clark wasn't out on loan I doubt if he'd have made a single premier league appearance.
I think it's clear Tymon is a living hull city legend and would be in the greatest all time eleven of hull city. Fact. Still I'll see him as a dumb **** off OPE who had his head turned by a slimy agent with promises of sigNing for Liverpool/Man U/Arsenal. Advised to not sign a contract here as he was going to get more from a "big" club. When city didn't increase it by what the agent said they would, he was compromised and in the agents hands to do what they wanted with. Talk of Liverpool Man U were out the window. The young mug was now set on leaving. City weren't playing ball. Dumb **** thinks he deserves PL money as he's made it. Stretfords laughing his cock off and gets his mate hughesy to buy him. Signing on fee for the dummy, decent wedge a week. Decent bonus for stretford. Who cares what happens to him now? He's a bit homesick apparently. Tough ****ing ****.
