No NUFC fan if you asked them right now would say 10th is a positive season.
I would.

We are playing much better football to watch, we have reached a cup final for the first time in 30years and the club seems in good hands with a good chance of future success. The only reason I can imagine you wouldn't see that as a positive season was because it would inevitably mean that we would have had a bit of a poor run in 2nd half.

However that it is entirely due to your expectations being elevated by the good run we are currently on.

the plat club bogs are a shambles still though

Is it time for howe to try something different today? I'd be surprised if that's the case tbh , but I'm interested to know what people's thinking is?

Surely he's got to get the millions on the pitch at some point... isak and Gordon are half the money spent and without them the entire the line is Ashley's

Well Wilson now has a reprieve in EH’s eyes thanks to last week. But in my opinion it should be Isak starting.

Gordon, for me, has to start. I’d be disappointed in EH if he goes with limp wrist ASM

Not sure - a win would certainly take the pressure off. We have been creating chances, although West Ham wasn't as good. I think he should be using Bruno's absence to experiment a bit. I would like to see St Maximin given a full game. It might not work but I think it would do wonders for his confidence. I suspect though that Gordon is ahead of him now and he is more likely to start.

Joelinton is now on 8 yellow cards - if he gets to 10 he will get a two match ban. I might be tempted to rest him today so that he can go all out against Liverpool and still be available for the final.

This would give us a chance to get Wilson, Isak, Gordon, Almiron on the pitch with Longstaff and Willock. Its ambitious but would be a real statement of attacking intent. Would love to get St Maximin on the pitch but all those midfielders are more hard working and give the defence more cover.

Id like to see 4 2 3 1 maybe and get isak Wilson Gordon and max on the pitch... stick longstaff and Joelinton in midfield maybe . Give Almiron a rest

The thing is why change?

It will be the same team as West Ham i reckon.

Knowing Eddie, I agree.

It seems to be how Eddie operates.

Then (barring any tactical changes for injuries etc.) he'll likely bring Isak, Gordon, Murphy all on at around 60 - 70 minutes.

This is the way.

Marriner on var so if they don't play well they'll be getting no favours
