Thought I'd get this thread up because there's probably plenty of areas of discussion surrounding selection and even formation given how poor the sides been playing over 90 minutes.

I'm wondering if Howe needs to try and get the 250 million on the pitch ? What can he do ? He's not exactly spoilt for choice.

Anthony Gordon ? I hope the people that said he was **** saw he was the best player on the pitch along with Joelinton yesterday.

Thoughts on this game? If they can't beat Bournemouth top 4 ? Forget it.

Not sure that’s possible considering £40m is suspended
Then for last game he had £40m suspended and £60m injured.
£40m has only just signed that week so being eased in.
Rest played.

One or 2 results don't make the season, even when teams win the league they have bad results and bad periods. No game is the be all and end all.

Ok, bad without Bruno last game, so that was a shock to the system, but we can't be dependent on one player and need to learn to cope without him. Gordon made a huge difference so start him ahead of ASM, and now Wilson got back in the goals, leave him on and maybe bring Isak for the second half.

I don't think they've played well this year.. in spells great .

Not losing though but 4 draws in 5 now is not top 4 quality

Tbh I don't care about top 4 ... I just get the impression too many are now fixated in it .

We definitely haven't played well in the league this year, but the positive is the defense still being solid and remaining undefeated.

Again, every team has bad spells even in their best seasons, and if our bad spell is a bunch of draws, it really isn't crisis time. If City beat Spurs today, we'll still be in the top 4 after the Bournemouth game regardless of the result; yeah it's a game we should be winning, but it won't determine the season.

Bottom line is that even with this slightly concerning run, we've still got the best defensive record in the league and lost the least amount of games in the league.

No crisis just not top 4 form and top 8 is fine imo... people have started to believe in the hype I feel...

Start of the season everyone would have taken 7th and a go in the cups. We’re 4th, and in a final, so let’s do our best to remember what we’re here for. Two years ahead of schedule currently and we will have a fired up Bruno and integrated Isak and Gordon for the run in.

Huh?
I want first each and every single season

Bruno is back, right?

If Howe doesn't play Gordon... I'll be in awe.

Isak, Gordon, Bruno, Joe, all a must.

Exactly but the issue I that people are now believing in the hype around top 4 , so they'll likely end up complaining.

I personally don't care about top 4 it's just been nice to be up there .

Not hype though is it, it's reality.

Simple fact is that we've been in the top 4 (and mainly top 3) for the last 4 months, so finishing outside there would be a disappointment now.

Was really impressed with Gordon from what we saw, if he keeps playing like that I'll hold my hands up and say I was dead wrong. He looked very intelligent with better passing than I expected.

Yeah he was really impressive. If that pass had been to Isak, we win 2-1.

Half a season really is only half... loads of games left

I won't be personally but everyone else can be that's upto them.

I think many will be happy whatever happens now .
