They'll obviously have to balance the books to comply with FFP and some of their big time Charlies won't want to drop out of the BPL....so who would we take off their hands? Caulker? Johnson? ...Cattermole ....:bandit:

Good chance to bolster our attacking options.

There's a lad at Cardiff called Campbell we should go for and a bruiser at Sunderland called Altidore who puts it about a bit.

Reckon that Brucie could pick them both up for about £10 million each, but he'll have to get his skates on.

    There'll be stiff competition.

As I said earlier in the week, Sunlan are obsessed with us.

Quick scan/skim of RTG shows up tonnes of references to us, our players and manager.

Most of the discussion points are always the same and seem to gravitate around:

    Bruce
Us being a **** small club and them having divine right to be above us
    Long & Jelavic

Here’s yet another big thread from yesterday about Long & Jelavic.

    http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/long-and-jelavic.901430/

Genuinely, I’ve seen at least a dozen threads on those two since January, with the same stuff being said.

I think Fulham might stay up now, but... hopefully over summer Spurs let us buy Livermore, though as a back-up, we could maybe get Holtby?

Hope Campbell remains in the Championship.

Although, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Bruce went in for him.

For 2 or 3m would he be worth it?

Cardiff fans' opinions I come across are very mixed this season.

But again, as a back up to L & J, given his age too, would he be a good signing for 3m (surely no **** would pay no more than 4m)?

The biggest problem we have is getting the ball up to the two forwards, they are both quick and play off the defenders shoulder yet we keep putting in long balls either from the wing or down the middle, rarely do we see passing along the floor splitting defences, a good attacking midfielder who can play to feet would be a plus. Do any of the relegation threatened teams have one worth a punt?

I was thinking about this while watching MOTD this morning, I think for the good of the team SB won't bring him in, especially after he turned us down last season, he would be a good back up but I just can't see it happening. However I can see Rodallega being a target if Fulham go down

Yeah, I was thinking that about Medel while watching MOTD last night. One of their few successes this season, the other being Noone, who I also rate.

Can't really think of any Sunlan players I really fancy. Bridcutt might be an option if Medel wasn't. Steve Harper's got to call it a day sooner or later, and it could be that he decides to bow out after a long-awaited Wembley appearance (or two, hopefully), so obviously Mannone would be more than welcome, but would he be happy to vie for a first-team spot with McGregor? He's had good reviews this year and probably thinks he's worth a spot as number 1. If we lose Davies, I wouldn't be too unhappy with John O'Shea as a replacement, although I only just realised he's 33, so mebbe not.

I reckon Norwich will be the other team to go down, but the only two there I'd fancy would be Snodgrass and Nathan Redmond. I rate their goalie Ruddy, but like Mannone, I reckon he'll think he's worthy of a clear first choice spot somewhere, and he probably is.

Even though he's only on loan at one of the bottom 3, i'd go for Holtby.

Another set of fans living in our shadow is Sheffield.

Constantly scanning the media for traces of 'complacency' and evidence of our 'fragile confidence after recent defeats'.

They reckon Sagbo's Tweet gaffe will swing the tie their way as he will be suspended.<laugh>

Not that they seem to be a very reliable bunch, but my sorties into RTG seem to suggest that they mainly think he’s ****.

A few on here were getting all Lady Palm about him when he signed for them too.

I don’t know, even at the relatively cheapish price, whether he’d be worth it considering the strikers we already have. I’d assume even with a smaller budget, with players leaving, we could probably bring in a free signing, in the summer, who’d potentially be as good.

His career (despite crazily getting an England cap) never took off since leaving us. He’s had the odd patch it seems (like second half of last season, but in a division where he’d already torn it up in).

He shudda signed for a big club.
