Has anyone thought that if "bottle" is used to indicate courage, guts, true grit etc, why doesn't "to bottle" mean to apply that courage to a situation rather than the opposite? Regardless of this interesting semantic issue, may I second a good post on here a few days ago in which s.o. said that all Saints fans should be at St. Mary's without fail next Saturday to pay homage to a team and manager who have done us all more than proud this season, independently of whether we're promoted or not. Are we brave and honest enough for that?
Sorry but how the **** do you know what I think with regards to us winning every game? Have I ever stated that? No? The guy asked if saints have bottle- since in my opinion we have bottled the big games (portsmouth home & away, reading at home and now today) then I stand by statement.

But we came back strongly against Peterborough, didn't we, and recovered strongly after Christmas after a poor spell, suggesting that your "bottle" remark is a bit irrelevant. Barcelona lost 1-2 tonight against The Filth, but they've shown admirable spirit over the last few seasons to win things. Losing a match doesn't mean a lack of "bottle". And you should expect that other posters express themselves in a frank and free spirit about you - many of us were brought up to tell the truth. If you don't like our comments getting on your tits, fasten the top button of your blouse.
Lost to Blackpool - Drew Next Game
After the Pompey game (which many said felt like a loss) - We won comfortably, 2-0.
After the Reading loss - We won comfortably, 3-1.

People forget we beat them 2-1 and 4-2, once with a side featuring Bart, Stephens, Martin, Harding, Ward-Prowse, Reeves, Doble and Hoskins.

What insults? I've trawled the thread and can't find any comment that might be construed as an insult. "whiny dick" simply means you're fond of a glass of Sauvignon now and then, why wouldn't you be?
