I don't understand all the borini hate. The guy said from the start that he wanted to fight for his place at Liverpool and thats what he wants to do. Lets be honest he helped is out as much as we helped him out last season. He may well end up here tomorrow and I for one will be delighted as he will improve us as a team. Maybe he does see us as a last resort and is hoping for a move back to Italy weddon't know all we can do is guess.

As much as I hate being seen as a last resort how can we be anything else at the moment? We have been in relegation trouble for parts of every season since we returned to the premiership and let's be honest only a miracle saved us last season. We should have been gone at Christmas but there was some utter ****e teams that never truly pulled away from us.

Borini isnt from sunderland hell he isnt even from the UK so how can ee expect him to show loyalty to a club he probably didn't even know existed until he came to England. I know most of you like myself would give your left bollock to play for Sunderland but there aren't many players with any loyalty left in the game unfortunately. Hes got to look out for number one. I mean look whats happened to Giaccherini since he came here he was completely frozen out of the world cup squad after he was a shoe in 12 months ago.

Unfortunately Borini is ambitious with his career and probably sees us as stagnant. Can anyone say we are anything but? We haven't progressed in 6 seasons if anything we have gone progressively backwards since Bruce left, apart from a 3 month spell under Oneill. Lets be honest the start of this season has shown we will most probably struggle again. It killsme to be saying this but unfortunately its the truth.

Anyway cmon Fabio come back and attempt to fulfil our and your own potential and HAWAY THE LADS!!!!!

Before anyone jumps on the Bruce comment what I really mean is we have never recoverd from the Bent/Gyan sagas. And at least bruce showed some ambition in actually signing these pkayers just a shame that A. He didn't have a clue about actual management and B. His daughter is a slag.

Haven't seen any hate marra just pissed off SAFC supporters being narked at being left hanging just in case he gets a better offer.
None of us is denying he is a good player and would all be pleased as punch if he signed.

What I do hate is, us being taken for mugs, and him thinking if I get nowt else I can go there.

I'd buck her like, doesn't look like the flat faced platypus.

The buck toothed Irishman has all but ended ANY hope Borini may of had of breaking into the Liverpool team and has gone on record as having told him to move on.

That we are the ONLY option he has on the table from day one and he isn't here, considering we are 24 hours from deadline day, I can only assume the lad isn't particularly interested and despite Gus's best efforts to say otherwise, it's very clear to me. I wanted him as my number one target after his season gone but although it would still be a good addition, the warm feelings I had for the signing has somewhat cooled now.

Fabio should have signed and come here with a massive fan support as our star man but now if he comes he will need to build bridges with fans. That's a hugely disappointing factor in this whole sorry saga IMO.

I would have accepted his reluctance if the story was "hey, Inter or AC might be after me"...

But that card has only been implied.

I could even understand "I want more money", or "I want assurances I will play".

But these silences STINK

x

Poyet has said he can't say why at the moment, presumably the player is in the same position.

All will be revealed and, if he comes with a reasonable reason for the delay, it will all be quickly forgotten.

I would love him to sign and SAFC explain what the problem was.

And I will be stuffed with humble pie.

But I still think I will be hungry come the close.

Me too, Poyet is no one's fool and he's really sticking his neck out here.

Not only that, he isn't doing a 'Redknapp' is he ......... unfortunately we can’t give the true information over why he’s not with us.

It's nice to see Sunderland doing things in an honourable manner which should help in future.

All we know is all his prior deals have been a nightmare wrapped up in red tape and agent clauses.

My guess is hes can't mention names which would suggest where any blame lies. It's probably his agent who probably has more authority than he should have.
