We are not a desperate club for money are we. we were one of the very few clubs that made a profit and don't need to sell our best players. Bony we bought for £12m and now he is worth more than double that to us so if someone comes in for him in the summer then the bidding has to start higher than what we value him at or its not worth considering, The club owns all the aces in the pack if any individual player has longer than a year on their contract. Players with less than a year wont cost much and if we need them then there is no point in letting them go. It is that time when they do have a year or less and someone offers silly money for them should we think twice about what profit we can make from them.....As we stand today i wont say we don't need money because you will always want money but we have no pressure and for once since those dark days of going around with a bucket begging for money we can actually say No today...
With Huw paying out 4.5 million to settle a personal vendetta against Laudrup , with a pending lawsuit ready to go , we won't have money for long .
Very true, in this day and age we know the price of everything and the value of nothing!..............
Just looking at it from a different angle. He's first choice, now playing regularly (after being either benched or withdrawn) scoring goals and by the look of him Saturday enjoying his football. I know money talks but the grass is not always greener elsewhere.
We could similarly discuss the futures of most of our staff. It would be a real test of Garry Monk's loyalty if Real Madrid came in for him.
You can credit the board with that too, they did everything they could to get him to resign but felt that they had to make the change immediately. **** training methods? Rumours of discontent within the dressing room? Crap signings? (On the surface) Well NGog is. Remember, NOTHING negative ever came out when Roberto Martinez & Brendan Rodgers were here ...
Wrongful dismissal , whatever Laudrup's lawyers come up with , it ain't rocket surgery. Crap signings kieran , what are you mentally challenged. Michu , Chico , Bony , Shelvey , Canas ,Poz and turning Routledges career around when no one else could .And for those dedicated to Bony pointing at the ground as if to be saying he's staying , back to the drawing boards because he did it before.
Yeah Wayne Routledge, when played, was dreadful in our first PL season under Brendan Rodgers. Short memories an all that... Nice 1 ML.
If your refeering to january signings say it nitwit . Apparently Huw wanted Laudrup to sign 3 midfielders on loan , Can't recall there names , Ince was one of them , but Laudrup didn't want them and it was part of the reason he was sacked . Imagine , a manager wanting to fill in his team with his own ideas, how dare he lol
You should check the European employment law. He simply hasn't been working for us for long enough to go for wrongful dismissal.
I'm not a lawyer pagan , we will find out soon enough why he is taking legal action , stay tuned is the best I can do for ya
Wrongful Dismissal.. you obviously don't know why he was dismissed if you say that seabreeze....I think Jinx sums it up very well in tonight's EP....Most other clubs would have sacked him earlier so at least jinx tried to give him every opportunity he could. Most of the board were ready to sack him months ago...nobody is going nowhere, nobody has said he wants to go anywhere and the squad is united to the cause.......The only person who indicated he wanted to move on was Taylor because he was not enjoying life under ML or his lack of training methods....
that's a good one, though it might come down to any breach in contract, which I do not think we have done. Just think it's a lot of hot air from Laudrup, shame really, you would have thought the £4.5 Million would keep him happy, but then they never live in the real world...........
