Its not about Bony or the Swans, its all business I'm afraid. Particularly the business of balancing the equations used to calculate the value of a 'cash asset' against that assets potential revenue, and a few other things.
To HJ, every one of our players has a cost (what he's worth to us), a potential (what he'll be worth next year) and a price (what we can get for him right now) attached.
Bony is simply a 'Value Asset' with a cost, a price and potential revenue attached. When a player or assets 'potential revenue' is bullied by a robust offer (bullied = bettered, robust offer = a substantial offer with substance) then, in 99.99.....% of cases, in business, that asset will be realised; sold.
That in a nutshell is the business model we live with today where literally everything has a cost, a price and a potential. Its cold, simple and ruthless. The hard bit is balancing the equations in real time to maximise return and that's it. Nothing personal, no loyalty, no remorse, just maximisation.
Unfortunately it doesn't matter what Bony says, or what Michu wants, when the sums equate and the bell rings, they'll be gone, pffff, like Keyser Söze.
