Yes Ron, we are £538 up but we place 5 bets per day at £10 per bet so a point is really £10 in this staking plan. I wanted to do it with a genuine stake as that makes more visible sense to most of us.
I hope I can hit the treble at least 3 times a month and I feel this itself will be enough to show a profit and then half a dozen doubles will add to that profit, this would allow for 21 loss days.
At present we have 1 treble day, 3 double days and 8 loss days. All this means we are due a treble.......

To be fair it's poor conditions for this bet at the moment. I would fancy it to show better in the summer with lots of flat racing to choose from. I think it's fair to say that it's value has not been proved either way as it is showing up with lots of days without any return but at the same time the bet is in profit and also further up than singles on the same selections would be.
I am not sure whether to extend it into December or trial it again come the flat. If someone else would fancy providing the selections for a week then i would be happy for that, after all it is a trial of a particular bet rather than my personal ability to find winners. Let me know if you fancy a go for the first 7 days of December.

There is certainly something to be said about restricting bets to certain times of the year, certainly on the flat. Timeform always used to suggest that it was risky betting in April/May as form is less reliable then. Not sure about NH.
How about you run a "Bluesky's Multiple Competition for December. Entrants must pick 3 selections (ie as per your system) each day and maybe allowed no selections some days with a minimum of x betting days in the month, or whatever rules you decide. If you, or someone else runs the comp., I'll enter.
I think the bet in itself is a good one, but forcing yourself to do it every day is certainly challenging
Agreed Oddy. A single bet could be spread over several days thus being able to be more selective.
I agree Oddy, there were days when i did not think it worth going for it but part of me wanted to take as much objectivity out of it as i could so that in theory it could work as a system. It was not about saying look i can pick a winner but really saying look here is a formula that will make money, and the formula is this, pick 3 horses each day between evs and 5-2 place them in this bet and it will come in enough to make money each and every month (i still think it will). The only objectivity required is choosing from the range of horses that come into the price catagory.

We are actually doing both but i have been disappointed to have collected so little this last week as i think it should have come in with at least a couple more doubles.
