The Dutch FA have sacked Danny Blind, after the World Cup qualifying defeat to Bulgaria yesterday left the Netherlands fourth in their group.

They've asked Louis van Gaal to help them find a replacement, possibly hoping he'll recommend himself.

They need some one who knows International and Dutch club football, can immerse themselves in Dutch culture, learn the language in a few weeks, pronounce an 'S' at the end or words where it is not necessary.

To say it could be worse is an understatement.

Netherlands are one example, but other top sides have failed to qualify for tournaments in recent years. While England, err, pass it sideways too much. Or something.
