As the App was faulty on the phone I saw a couple of minutes of QPR+ on my laptop. It was near the end of the 1st half and there was no commentary. I admit, the overal impression was very poor. I don’t know what is happening, but it seems that the club have done major issues with their technology. I hope that it will be fixed for the best match which I intend to watch.
The sound in the first half was down to a faulty ISDN line in the stadium - they had to move to a different commentary area for the second half with a new connection. Picture was good though
They were turning the sound off and on in the 1st half trying to fix it, so I guess you watched it when it was off. It was often a painful listen when it was on so I turned it down low. The picture quality was good though, so not a problem for me.
So here it is, Clives first report of the season....don't read it if you're expecting lots of cheer https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footb...ood-park-defeat-spoils-beales-big-day--report However, he makes a lot of references to players still to come in and a work in progress. He's not happy with the ref either - I'd forgotten Buckleys' second bad tackle on Kakay, after already being carded for hacking down Chair...he nearly pulled a card out and then bottled it. As Clive says, sometimes we're just a bit too nice by not noising up the ref like some clubs do. Found this bit interesting in the comments section.... "A Championship referee who we get quite often knows a mate of mine, he asked him about a specific opposition goalkeeper in one of our games that he'd refereed who had really, really taken the piss with the time wasting in the second half and nothing had been done. His response was 'to be honest it was annoying me as well, but QPR didn't say anything about it so I left it'. As I say in the report, I'm not talking about Matt Mills pursuing the referee around screaming at him about everything, but we don't ask for anything, we don't complain about anything. On Saturday the referee went for his back pocket, then realised who it was, and had second thoughts. That's not fair on us at all. And we just accept it. Opponents, and referees, take the piss out of us for it."
Seems a fair assessment from Clive. Clearly things to be concerned about whilst acknowledging that our best player, Willock and others are set to return and should improve things. If he's still writing that kind of report in 15 games time it will be concerning. Patience required imo.
As you have probably seen on the Official's 1st August post Ski, the Club have shut down the App that you were probably trying to access and are planning to launch a new one later this week through some outfit called Stadion. Good of them to let you and other App users know in good time for the season opener at Blackburn Saturday....
Thanks Oslo. I totally missed this. All is now clear! It would been useful to receive this info from the site, rather than a very pretty but totally useless “Oh No” message.
The positive is our play in the first 30 minutes. Let’s hope we can increase this to 90 mins on Saturday!
The same outfit that ran the old one so don't expect any improvement. Useless ****ers, everything seems to be going awry at the club at the moment, they seem to have some real bellends working behind the scenes.
Bit harsh, realism is not for everyone, however its a very true statement HB has made about behind the scenes decisions.
You gonna have a go at Yorkshire too for agreeing what is patently clear to see ? If you look through all the threads very carefully you'll do well to find anyone else who posts as many positive things about the club, from fundraising to youth games and everything inbetween. But when we royally **** up like we have at almost everything since pre season began then I believe the fans have a right to ask questions about the tools being employed by the club, starting at the very top. The fans deserve better
