Spurcat uses those drills, but his variation has : 1. the balls and not the wooden gate on fire. 2. the GK dangling above a pit of crocodiles that try and snap hold of anything that dangles too close.
Giggs set to be Wales manager. Not sure about this. No experience and he doesn't have the personality to inspire. Not sure he can manage coaching a world class player and League One bench warmers. And he was always club before country. I'm not necessarily critical of that given the demands on players, but why should he expect his players to act differently now?
Very sad news I had the privilege of watching him play for wycombe wanderers in the Martin O'Neil era he was a class player and a gentleman off the pitch. R.I.P big fella
Of course you aren't, but I think his record for Wales is a disgrace, you are either available or you aren't, you shouldn't pick and choose. How can he ask people to turn out to work on tactics etc in friendlies with his record. Corbyn has the same problem in the Labour party.
Cyrille Regis: Ex-West Brom striker a trailblazer, says emotional Brian Deane - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42693383
Ryan Giggs says he plans to win over his doubters. Good luck with that one Ryan, there's about 20 million of them out there.
Cyrille Regis. Yes,very good player. About the racist thing.......I never had a black friend. Not by choice. When I was at Parkhurst School in Tottenham at leaving time there was only one black boy at that school, then. When we moved to Cheshunt, the black families were moving in to Tottenham so,again didn't get to meet them....and they hadn't established themselves up there until much later. Thank God we were a long way from the "Tottenham Riots" whatever that was about...and that poor policeman! The last time I walked around Tottenham,we all "seemed" to be getting along ok and I hope it stays like that I can't imagine what Cyrille had to go through at that time.I guess it was bloody tough for him.........and yet in other parts of the world, even as far as Russia, racist things are being chanted even today. Breaks your heart ,doesn't it?
Highlights of the 71 league cup final. Not Spurs at their best but interesting nevertheless to contrast it with todays football. Nice commentary as well Thanks for that Brian.
I was there. I was 8 years old. Me, my older brother and the 'old man' went after he bought some tickets on Wembley High Rd that morning. Life was easy then. We made a final every year and if it was at Wembley, we won it.
