What I always found surprising is that Bobby Moore was never given more than an OBE, given how Stanley Matthews was knighted in 1965.

It can be argues (very, very easily) that the honours system was exceptionally snobbish about who was awarded and purveyors of vulgar sports for the common oiks didn't fit the bill, and it is telling that the majority of honours given to footballers came in the past twenty years.

I had a double on Douvan and Faugheen yesterday which came in but I had £20 on Annie Power and it dropped at the last ****ing hurdle whilst in the lead :emoticon-0106-cryin.

I've done an e/way double on Don Poli and Sire Collonges for today, so fingers crossed.

Watford top now. I'm hoping to see Bournemouth gain promotion although it be interesting to see how Boro cope with premier league football again as Gibson is still their chairman, the man who bought Juninho, Ravanelli and Hamilton Ricard!

Dick Advocaat is being showered with praise, similar to LVG, "an incredible CV, media will love him, players will perform for him". Sunderland relegated and Boro to replace them?
