Seen a one-liner in the SSN paper news that suggested we're leading the chase for him. Now this lad is top draw on his day, but has been missing for Fulham most of this season.

The reason HBA cannot get in the team is because his work ethic isn't on par with the likes of Gouffran. Stay away from Berbatov IMO, unless he is used sparingly as an impact player.

Would anyone disagree? Too much of a gamble?

I'd love to see us get Berbatov as I think he'd be a good fit for us, given that it looks like that we're not going to be involved in a relegation scrap it's more likely we'd be playing to his strengths rather than worrying about his work rate defensively.

If the deal's right I don't see it as a gamble.

My first thought is not too touch him with a barge pole.
But, then again why not?

With the right deal in place, he could be the perfect replacement for Shola, and who's to say he wouldn't bring us that little bit of X-Factor we have craved for.

Don't think it would happen anyway, with it being more a case of 'don't believe what you read' yet again.

Big gamble as extremely lazy. One of the most talented around though. Shearer was one of his idols so I dare say he'd fancy it. Not sure why but like Robbie Keane or Shane Long, just one of those players I think would be a hit here. Couldn't see us stumping up the cash or wages for a guy of that age.

He always had that film start look about him though....

I heard Obertan has signed up and is not happy about magics verbal trashing of him and has alien neg repped him to hell.

Reasons For:

1. Shola is currently restricted to the slowest moving mammal on matchdays, including ball-boys and the crowd, so having an undoubted selfish lazy t*** like Berbatov is not a problem. He'd be a massive improvement on Ameobi because he can do all the things Ameobi can (hold-up play, wins headers 20% of the time, score penalties) and can also play in others with good passes, trick his way into the box etc.

Reasons Against:

1. Getting on, lost some of his sharpness.
2. Fulham won't want to sell unless he's a disruptive influence, and we don't really want a disruptive influence.
3. He plays best when the team is molded around him. That won't be the case here.
4. I'd rather have Gomis

He's also not a fan of white boots

I did hear him say he was a toon fan when he was younger because of Shearer. Absolutely love watching him when he is on top form. He does so often seem to be a passanger though. As previously mentioned if the deal is right it could turn out alright.
