Does Eric know the full details of Reeves' contract or not? Pay per play = structured with heavy incentives
What's the problem, Reeves is playing 90 minutes this week. 30 minutes in one game and 60 minutes in the other.
Reeves needs to have a strong word with his Agent... Reeves reluctance to actually earn his wages seems to be a historical trend ... pay per play can't be in the best interests of Reeves? Shirley?
Feel free to go and have a word with him if you feel that strongly. We know little of what goes on at the training ground, unless fed information. Would be interested to hear how he reluctantly earns his wages. Then I’m Not sure what the fascination is tbh, when we signed him the majority were delighted, but cautious as he’s had a poor injury record. No idea what Shirley means. I’m sure you’ll let me know.
I think most of our squad are contracted until summer 2019 now aren't they? Three or four have one further year I think, to summer 2020. I'm hoping doggedly that this means come what may, Duchatelet will be selling up not too far into the future; Summer next year perhaps if we win promotion, or before the end of the 2018-19 season anyway. This hope -- that we may only have to endure this divisive, characterless, sincerity-free parody of an administration for perhaps another 15 months or maybe even less than a year -- is the only thing that keeps me coming back for more. Edit: I guess when Ben Reeves makes a positive contribution to our season he will get some positive feedback here.
I don't think Marshall made the bench yesterday. Reeves came on for an unmemorable 20 mins. It would be good to see him start at Oxford, as Forster-Caskey really hasn't contributed much this season.
That's right - no Marshall even on the bench, and no impact from Reeves. Still, it's early days for the lad - we're only 12 games into the season in mid October.
Marshall picked up a thigh spasm. Might be fit for Tuesday. Reeves didn't do much when he came on but to be fair to him he didn't see much of the ball.
I didn't quite get why Reeves played out wide, with Holmes in the middle. Isn't Reeves a number 10? And the man he replaced, Billy Clarke, I'm not sure what his role was either. OK we won, but for me KR hasn't got the midfield organised, we were too reliant on Holmes or Fosu making individual runs down the left, with the only support coming from DaSilva, who would be more suited to a wing-back role.
KR probably thought there was more going on in the middle, so put Reeves out wide. Sounds like he’s playing it cautious.
Reeves still got badly clattered out on the wing, for which the Donny player got booked. He was OK though.
They seem to rotate the 3 behind the forward during the game. Sometimes Holmes is in the middle, sometimes Clarke or Fosu. It's worked fairly well at times but Clarke was anonymous yesterday
