One for the General, Aldi are bringing back the Grim Reaper sausages made with the world's hottest chilli The chilli, the Caroline Reaper, is 400 times hotter than a Jalapeño.
I'd heard about them, they come out today, limited stock so heading to my nearest in hope of bagging a pack or two. Bah!
I had Carolina Reaper chilli on some chicken wings last year. It was beyond hot! After the initial pain I felt stoned for the next 20 mins. Incredible stuff The owners of the brewery where I had them, said they can't put the plates or cookware in the dishwasher because of the steam (with the chilli) acts like tear gas in the kitchen. They have to hose them down out the back first. Enjoy!
They really weren't that hot. Nice enough , but I regularly use chilli sauces that have more of a kick. Bah!

Congratulations to Norfolk Brewhouse and one of their brewers sits behind me at CR!!! https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/this-brewery-has-been-named-one-of-the-best-in-east-anglia-1-5937751
Never been before. Been thinking of going for years, but something just stops me going for it. I think it's that it could be like that Chinese Buffet place on Riverside. Loads of options, so how can they all be great quality, more likely to be a greasy rubbery mess. I have often walked past it, and there has been a que waiting to get in. So can't be bad. That also puts me off though. I ain't queuing for a buffet.
Bought a couple of bottles of Lacons Yesterday for last night. Don't often see them in shops. I think I've had a pint of one in the City, but was probably too p*ssed to judge it. Lacons "Legacy" was gorgeous. "Affinitiy" was also very nice. Impressed.
There are far better places to eat for the money, but some people seem happy with that type of food an as you say the one on Riverside is very popular as well. #nothanks I went on a brewery tour last year - excellent. I think it's the Buck in Honingham is one of their pubs, so you can usually get Lacons' beers in there. Edit - https://www.jdwetherspoon.com/pubs/events/real-ale-and-cider-festival
Yeah, spot on. There are so many other places I haven't tried yet, and so many places we enjoy eating. Cosmo never really jumps out at me as an exciting place to try.
I have a hospital appointment at 3.20 next Tuesday. Seems like a tailor-made opportunity to give it a lunchtime whirl - as long as there are no queues. of course. I hope they do their crispy duck pancakes at lunchtimes, I can eat £8.50 worth of those with no problems! please log in to view this image [Edit - any alternative suggestions for a lunchtime venue gratefully received!]
Really need to go back there. Only been there once. Loved it! I'm never really in that area, so would have to be a special trip just to go there.
