I think Brian's death is only going to last a few episodes. They're going to bring him back, just making people sweat with Stewie destroying the time machine.

I'm not sure. On the one hand, the new dog just has no personality at all and I can't see him as a regular character. On the other hand, they've got a guy from The Sopranos to do his voice, which does make it seem permanent.

There's some weird stuff going around. Brian's name is in another two episode titles this season, there was a plot revealed where Brian takes up running to impress a girl (revealed because the voice actor is famous or something, I don't know), Brian was in a comic-con season trailer in a scene with Cleveland which hasn't aired, and there's this promotional poster for an upcoming episode:

Of course, it could easily turn out that Brian is just replaced by Vinny in all of these cases and the name Brian was only in to not make people suspicious, so we'll see.

I'm alright with it. I'd normally find being that skinny a bit of a turn off, and I'd rather Taylor was thicker but hey, she pulls it off. Laura's got a bit of meat on her which is nice.
