I need some advice for Football Manager if that's okay? Newcastle are willing to sell me a defender valued at 1.5m for 500k, but his tackling ability is pretty much the same as my current defender in his position who has a value of 2k but he has better other stats, however in theory because he is valued so much higher, he should be a much better player right? And I guess having consistently decent stats is better than having a couple of good stats, even if they are the key stats for that position (i.e. tackling and heading)? I just wanted to check before I blow a large chunk of my budget on one player.
Edit: Quadruple post, sorry.
Nice to see the FIA clamped down on the track limits issue too....whole lotta penalties got dished out for that....![]()
Can someone give me some advice for Football Manager? There's a defender who is apparently valued at 1.5m which Newcastle are willing to sell me for 500k, and his value is way more than anyone else in my squad (playing as Forest Green), but his tackling skill is about the same as my current defender in his position, but he has better other stats, but since he's worth so much, in theory he should be a much better player than my other player (who's worth about 2k), despite having the same tackling? I guess having consistently decent stats is better than having one or two good stats and not so good other stats? I just wanted to ask before I blow a large chunk of my budget on one player.
Post a screenshot of his stats page. Also, what division are you in?
Saw a Steinberg comment on Reddit today. Upvoted it, obviously.

Oh, and also, if anyone cares, GMI/Barry is getting slaughtered on SaintsWeb.
See "Norwich going for it" thread, page four.
