MOTD is available from midnight tonight, right?

(check out those mad rhymes)

Not that I'm watching the NFL game, but there was a great quote about it in the Guardian yesterday:
"American football is a paradigm for American life, random acts of violence interrupted by committee meetings."

I think Pie means ancient history in the sense that Nigel left the building quite a while back. The settlement is relatively new news. £500K is a pretty good send-off, in my opinion. Hopefully, that's not a send-off and don't darken these doors again, type thing. But I fear it might be.

Threads up now anyway using the Daily Mail version rather than the Echo. As far as I am concerned end of a chapter move on through the book to the present day and go from there.

Just back from the NFL game at Wembley, and I have to say, what fun that was! Fantastic atmosphere, it was so loud out points and it was good how Steelers and Vikings fans were mingling together, thousands of flags being waved made for an impressive spectacle. There was an American couple who were Vikings fans next to us who were really into it, it was amusing, as there were some American Steelers fans nearby. At one stage, there was a bit of banter flying between them, but all good humoured and good natured. The build up was pretty epic! I'm not really a fan of Tinnie Tempah but him performing with a troop of cheerleaders dancing in perfect unison with flame cannons firing in time with the music was really a great combination and just seemed to fit. Americans really can put on a show.

The match was good and the Vikings won which I was happy about. Before I just picked them because I liked their kit, but I loved everything about them: their kit (obviously), their amusing ditty every time they scored, the flag bearers, the Skulline drummers, the mascot, the videos using words like "Conquer" and "Destroy", the horn blaring. It was epic.

I enjoyed this

Breaking Bad
[Nsfw] What I think will happen on the last Breaking Bad is Wakt and Jesse will team up and kill the Nazis. Walt will then use the ricin to kill Lydia as she is just ad bad. Notice how she has the same drink the same way every time she is at the dinner.[/nsfw]

[nsfw] Wow how close was I to getting it right. What a great ending to a great series, how White killed the nazi's was great and Jesse getting his own back on Tod.
**** know's what I'm going to watch now.(until I get the box set that is <laugh> ) [/nsfw]

[nsfw]Nice work on the Stevia. **** artificial sweeteners, those things will kill you.

Aren't many great series that actually manage to carry it through the finale coherently. It took fantastic writing to set it up so that it could end properly, and that was a goddamned proper ending. Was kinda hoping that he'd blow up the meth lab with himself in it, but oh well.

Also, what's your take on the Skyler/Walt scene? Him being honest about doing it solely for himself, or a way to deflect guilt from her? Because if it's the former, I'd like to now accept my 2013 award for Best Unnecessary Psychoanalysis of a Character in a Prime-Time Drama.[/nsfw]

Just got back from breaking my Wembley virginity, what a fantastic experience to be there in person. Wembley is just amazing...

Wembley's amazing as long as you don't go and see England there. Watching international football is crap - no atmosphere whatsoever.

I'm sure it doesn't help these days that they have that stupid bloody fan brass band which you can often hear playing an apologetic... come on England, come on England..!

It doesn't sound supportive in the least. More like frustration.
