I don't quite know what you people tend to mean writing reactions like this. Of course it's seriously wrong in our culture, but have you no words for the poor girl who suffered. She's the only one who really matters here. It really makes you think how lowly women and female children are in some societies. Something has to change there. The man needs his genitals removed, to be ostracised from his society, and the law needs to be changed so that women can't be abused in Islamic countries. They just might do the first two things.

Disgusting was my reaction to how a girl of 8 can have this done to her. So of course I was thinking of the poor little girl. But the law will never change in countries like this, as women are seen as slaves basically. Like the lady that got raped on a bus and later died(think it was in India), the guy only getting 7 weeks if I remember rightly.

Dunno if it was 7 weeks, but it was ridiculously short because, if I recall correctly, he was a minor.

People have different ways of expressing their opinions and reactions to things like this, some people write and talk about it, others only feel it necessary to say a word or two. I don't think it's fair of you to be telling people what they need to be saying or how they should react.
