Not so much the height, it's that going that fast actually hurts. I remember going on Stealth and having a headache for the next few hours, just because of the speed, and that's only 80mph. I do love rollercoasters, but I much prefer the thrill of inversions rather than height.
Just seen the latest attack in Syria, napalm like attacks on a school! The scenes are disgusting.
Can believe it's the government of Syria, but can also believe it is the rebels trying to discredit the government (if that is actually possible). In fact, I can believe anything in these rivalries in Muslim countries...no one actually seems to care about their own people.
Unrelated, but did anyone read that bit about the leader of North Korea having 11 singers shot ostensibly for pornographic videos...I bet they were nothing we would regard as porn. One of the women was his previous lover...people suspect he had to do it to appease his wife who used to be in the same group. If I was her, I'd be very careful not to annoy him. Could be Henry VIII all over again.

We have to be very, very careful here. I was chatting to a friend of mine who works in American Intel out in Iraq - he (and I agree) is very, very dubious that either the chemical agents or this napalm/phosphorous are the work of Assad. It makes zero sense for him to do that. The Government forces have been making significant gains on the rebels in recent weeks, and the ONLY thing that realistically would jeopardise this would be Assad (or a rogue officer) using chemical weapons which almost guarantees outside intervention.
There's only one side that this course of action would benefit long term, and that's the rebels. It just doesn't make any real sense.

Unfortunately that tends to be one of the side effects of not fearing death, and believing in concepts like martyrdom!

Now I have a strong stomach, but honestly these are some of the most hideous things I've ever, ever seen. Honestly, only watch this if you have seriously strong stomach.
Yet we will do **** all to help these poor people. Just because some politician with a big ego can say he got one over Cameron.
Those pictures are very similar to those shown in the sixties when the USA were bombing Vietnamese villages with napalm and deforestation chemicals like agent orange.

The realm of the bully. It's a difficult thing to understand but those who are handing out the violence may have witnessed or been subjected to violence that is just as bad as we see on the videos. It doesn't excuse them because they have no compassion or empathy. Or has the order of their lives driven it from them..?
It is hideous and horrific, and those perpetrators of violence seem altogether too confident of their cause. No cause is worth that kind of callous behaviour.
