Yeah but if Nicola did a Hull City Tigers type thing (e.g. rebranding you as Southampton Saints - which coincidentally is the name of the Southampton's womens team) for overseas branding purposes would you be against it? You're right a club's soul is more than just it's kit (although that is part of it no doubt)

Yep I would be against a name change. As for kit change stripes get boring and you can only do a few things to change them. Nothing against a mainly red kit it's just this seasons kit looks bad.

I'd be against a name change because it'd make us a laughing stock, like it has with Hull. Won't happen anyway, Cortese wants to make us more professional - hence the Twitter and Facebook names changing from officialsaints (or whatever it was) to SouthamptonFC.

Don't think Hull are regarded as a laughing stock...the owner perhaps. A lot of fans seem happy with it (at least when a vox pop was conducted)...perhaps it's a Northern thing :)

The game between Hearts and Hibs, is turning into a right old tear up.

I've got that on too. That fella got knocked out, seemingly, and then that fight broke out. Mentals.

Rowan Vine these days, looks like someone shook a big tree and he fell out.

    Classic lumberjack beard.

We're 500-1 on Paddy Power to be renamed Southampton Bay Pirates. Mind you, there's a daft bet for every club that follows that trend.

In other news, Steve De Ridder is starting for Utrecht up front but just behind Jacob Mulenga.

I thought last seasons kit was awful at first but compared to this seasons kit it is bloody wonderful.

I will say that we always seem to have a great away kit and I like the black this season and liked the yellow from last year.

If they can keep hold of McCarthy and Maloney, Wigan have a pretty excellent team for the Championship.

I'm not sure how they've managed to (or, are managing to for now), because they're far too good for Wigan.

That Wigan team should definitely be aiming to get out of the Championship at the first time of asking.
