I dunno if his talents would be appreciated here. It's like Zlatan, I'm more than happy to enjoy his talents but a lot of people here might not have the same appreciation.

He would probably have to adapt a fair bit, yeah, but his talents can't be ignored. He could play a useful role in Beefy's corner, at the very least.

I get the feeling we burned our bridges when it comes to negotiating with Saintsweb after the Barry Sanchez transfer debacle.

That's true, they've come to massively regret that signing. However, it seems like his disruptive influence has unsettled a few of the players over there, and we may be able to encourage those players to try and force a move.

Yeah, he's the right player for their system, but it's really hard to know how that would translate to a different environment. People really underestimate how officiating varies between leagues, for one; some subjects can be tackled over there with a vigor that simply doesn't fly elsewhere, and what good is that sort of talent if suspended half the time?

I think it's stricter over here so some of his misdemeanours would be flagged up and he'd be held to account, leading to suspension.

I always say I will, and get intolerably bored by half way through the second quarter as a bunch of second and third stringers half arse it on limited playbooks.

Yeah I get excited for some football, completely ignoring the fact that it is usually a ****fest

Had Baltimore-TB on last night because I just wanted to watch some football and just couldn't sit through more than a quarter. I'll probably only watch the Colts games from now until the regular season starts.

Yeah going to watch the first half hour of the Eagles Pats game then watch the Vikings.

Foolishly agreed to play cricket tomorrow to piss my mate off which annoyingly means I have to get up early, so kind of hoping I do get bored and go to bed at a reasonable time

I'm tempted to put on Jets-Lions for Geno... Seems like so much effort though, just for like two series of bog standard basic plays.

The first drive from the Pats was 6 run plays for a TD :D

Brady probably sitting out the rest of the game now

At least that means it'll be Tebow Time, which should be good for a laugh. Unless they're putting Mallett in first.

WWII is my biggest historical interest and I have never, come across this tragedy. I have spent the last few hours reading the website below. The author has obviously spent a lot of time researching it and for the most part is pretty neutral. Not sure if you have read it but it may be of interest.

Talking of American Football, has everyone decided who they're going to support for the NFL in London series? For the game I've got tickets for, Steelers v Vikings, I've decided to go for the Vikings. I've not been to either Pittsburgh (or PA for that matter) or Minnesota, however I looked on both websites and I preferred the general branding and style of the Viking's website.

There are plenty of young kids in the academy we could dump as they just haven't made the grade and we seem to have acquired a few trialists lately who just aren't of a high enough standard for this board. That should free up a little bit of spare cash for such a ground breaking signing but should we seriously ask ourselves will he cause disruption in the camp as I anticipate lots of arguments with the management.

Like SFC this board is well known for the camaraderie of its posters. We don't want any "Billy Big Bollocks" signings to upset the applecart.

I've been to Minnesota numerous times and for that reason I support the Minnesota Twins. I don't follow the NFL but if I did I would follow the Vikings.
