So that dude who walked up to the alter at Notre Dame and shot himself supposedly did it to protest France legalising gay marriage. He was a writer of right-wing essays, and in his last one he wrote:
“There will certainly need to be new, spectacular, symbolic gestures to shake off the sleepiness… and re-awaken the memories of our origins.”
Can't believe I'm saying this about a guy who just died, but what a twat.
He really saw the need to shoot himself to protest against gay marriages?
What did he think he would achieve? Well at least he didn't go on the rampage shooting a load of gay people.
