Eye-witness Clare Foran, 34, was driving from Tesco to her home in John Wilson Street with her husband Nigel when she saw a man lying on the floor.

She told News Shopper: “We thought there had been on run over. Then we saw two black blokes, one with what looked like a screwdriver, and they started running down the road as if they were going to go for the police and they shot them.

"I thought it was a stungun. But obviously not.


“I ducked down – it was like something out of the movies. We managed to drive past but there was loads of cars stuck.


“There was lots of shouting and everyone started to run away.”

Yeah apparently they had two machetes and 3 knives plus the shotgun.
