Further to earlier discussion on here, Clyne has signed new 4 year deal at Southampton. Everyone does collective sigh of relief???

Good on him btw, fair play to him for staying.

No, just means he's now valued at £20m and not £15m <laugh>

Not a chance of Clyne going to Liverpool. It's a sideways move and Liverpool's days in the higher echelons of the PL are finished. These days even Adam Lallana has a look of regret in his eyes and it's no mystery why, he has gone from England international playing at a world cup to a squad player in an average side. Much as it pains me to admit I reckon Saints will lose their three best players this summer in Clyne, Schneiderlin and Alderwiereld. None of them will go to Liverpool though.

Says it all when you are pigshit thick enough to put an on loan player in your "best players"

Small time!!!!

Have no doubt about it buddy Aldeirweireld is the best defender Saints have had since Micheal Svensson, on loan or not. I daresay he has outperformed all of Liverpool's defenders this year too, however it would seem such mediocrity is acceptable as I see Kolo Toure has signed a new contract. I somehow get the feeling that the relentless raids on Southampton by Liverpool is bred from fear. We are now on a par with each other and Saints are on the up and the fortunes of Liverpool are best left unmentioned.

Michael Svensson. Lol.

Is that the equivalent of saying "I really like this Balotelli fella, he's our best striker since David Ngog"

Top defender, real shame that his knee done him in the end. You may remember he scored a bullet header at Anfield in 03 IIRC. Back then Saints were underdogs v Liverpool, how times have changed !

Saints are and have always bee underdogs when they play us.<whistle>

Even when Saints won their one and only trophy they were underdogs, fair play to them for their style of play and their current status though.

Saints have a better first team and probably stronger squad than you. They are far from underdogs
