Remarkable we can play such a decent side with so many out injured and more than a couple out of position.

I'd play Anderson but obviously not if Mowbray thinks he's way off being ready. If he's okayish then why not, we didn't sign him for a laugh. Gelhardt upfront if he's comfortable to play.

    For me
    Hume Anderson 09 Cirkin
    Ekwah Gooch Neil
    Roberts Clarke
    Amad
Bring Pritch and Michut on after an hour
Just go for it keep them penned in their half use the physicality of Ekwah and Gooch to run for an hour and change them when they’re knackered.
    Simple this management lark.

Assumed Gelhardt would be on bench when Mowrbray said he "should be ok to play some part" but aye, if he's fit then start him

Putting yourself in goal in your first act of management is bold mind.

Am I the only one that thinks if O'Nien's missus was due on Sunday he'd consider missing it to play, given our injury situation? <laugh>

Fair enough if treatment for injuries is outsoruced on a need bais but having the very best systems and people in place at the club to focus on preventing injuries should be at the top of the agenda for next season!

As I said before seems ridiculous to be a professional sports team and not do this.

Kirchoff was made of rich tea but somehow he lasted under whatever system was in place at the time!

If Gelhardt is fit he has to play either ahead of Pritchard or Roberts with Amad on the right. Cutting in from the wing is by far Amad's best position as he only has a full back to deal with rather than two centre halves when in the middle.

As class as he is, Roberts was like a headless chicken the other day. It was like he had no idea where he was meant to be playing.

I mentioned the workload a couple of our players have had this year last week. Baath was one. Neil and Clarke have played crazy amounts of games considering the physicality in their positions. Baath was the other one.

I never normally subscribe to the view we have more injuries than anyone else. It has been a crazy season this one though. Really critical players out for long periods. One of the strengths we do have is our academy though. Johnson should come in now. That in itself I find so exciting. Any player coming in from the academy is an absolute credit to this club, and a sign to young players across the north east where they should start their careers. Massive for our future.
