Big difference between criticising another player (as I mentioned) and criticising arguably the best and most respected manager a club has ever had

I think that what you're saying is more of a joke to be honest!

You may be judging Ashley on what he does, but if you are, I would say that you're cherry picking all of the bad points. Of which, i'm honest enough to admit, there are many.

But i'm looking at the club right now, and we ARE in a better situation than we have been for a long long time. Financially stable, building a squad of promising young players, excellent scouting network.

Yes, we may have lost a few of our "top" players, but lets look at that:

Carroll for 35 million - I was happy with that, gutted at the time. But the lad had had 1 good championship season, and a half season in the premiership!

Jose - Gutted again. Class player, easily one of our best. But he wanted to leave. That was clear. He left for a team he thinks can get him European football. We couldn't for a little while. I don't blame Ashley for that.

Nolan - Good player for us. But he wanted a very long contract, and he wouldn't have been able to cut it for more than another season IMO. We saved LOTS of money on a player who isn't going to play in a season.

And we have strengthened the team. Granted, a few more key players will help, but i'm happy.

What about it then boys? Would you be glad or sad to see him leave? Personally i think he might be more trouble than he's worth but still would be a very good player for us (QPR) to sign.

Nice to mature come back to back up you "Ashley doesn't like Barton"

You don't just sell a player who plays a big part to the squad because you don't like him!!

As KidCanary said, he has hardly been a model employee and after his latest round of tweet MA and the board decided to cut their loses.

You don't become a Billionaire by sacking people you don't like and letting assest go for free.

Same with Nolan, IMO he knocked the contract back expecting MA to give in and give them what the wanted. Ashley stuck firm and he walked.

Feel free to back your argument up!!!

Agree with this 100% Ashley isn't our saint and saviour adn has made screw ups. But can see what he is trying to doing in terms of business by getting the club in a health financial state(which will be needed when the new financial rules come in), sooner or later the EPL bubble will pop taking a lot of clubs with it and we won't be one of them.

Each player left for various reasons (Not because MA didn't like them)

Joey Barton is being allowed to go for three reasons:

    1. He has a brain, unlike a lot of footballers.
    2. He has an opinion, which he isn't afraid to voice, unlike the timorous lot we have become.
    3. He is a high wage earner.

People like Ashley only get to where they are by bullying and by creating an atmosphere of fear and distrust. I for one admire Joey for standing up to him. Judging by some of the views on this forum, however, Ashley has managed to reduce expectations among the fans to the point where almost anything he does is justifiable.

    Nice bit of spin there...

    How about:

Joey Barton is being allowed to go for three reasons:

    1. He hasn't got a brain, like a lot of footballers. If he did he would have got on with his job, like a professional
    2. He has an opinion, which he mouths of about at every possible opportunity. And it gets him in needless situations, that he could easily avoid.
    3. He is a high wage earner.

People like Ashley only get to where they are by knowing how to run a business, and how to deal with employees. I for one admire Ashley for standing up to him. Judging by some of the views on this forum, however, Ashley has managed to get himself a bad reputation, that he is never going to shake off. No matter how promising the current situation...

Ive wasted more time on this with you obvious morons than I like to think about it.

    No more.

The intelligent people will look at all of your pathetic come back argument and see more holes and contradictions in it, not to mention idiocy, that I really dont need to waste anymore of my energy.

Since when I did I use the school yard reason of 'because he doesnt like him'? There is one response I'd like to point out "You don't become a Billionaire by sacking people you don't like and letting assest go for free. So hes letting our most influential player go to save money then is he? Sell the f&cker than. Or maybe he doesnt think he is a very good footballer and thats why he is leaving....?

    Unbelievable.

Also like to add, since when did this little debate turn into looking back over Ashley's reign again?! I must have missed that done to death boring part.

    Total morons.

On the last page 5 "They've probably never liked him. His type certainly doesn't fit with continental 'yes man' flavour they want."

So you can't remember what you've said now FFS

You can hardly say Barton has been a perfect employee has he!!!

But obviously you aren't able to have a reasonable debate and see another person point of view since you've resorted to school ground name calling.

"So hes letting our most influential player go to save money then is he?" Surely he would have sold to make and save money if that was the case rather than let him go for nowt.

MY point re Ashley is he would sell rather than letting people go, that is how you "Make Money and become rich" or is that to difficult to understand.

I'm neither pro or against Ashley, but your argument is flawed with no back up.

Some NUFC fan called into Real Radio and said that he'd put £20 down that Barton will be playing in a Newcastle shirt this weekend. I wish I was that confident.

So Captain Colly asks me a question of so when do you think they didnt like Barton?, and I answer it. But i'm being held to account for using the words 'because they dont like him?'

Read the f*cking thread properly you complete moron.

Ash wants him out. End of. And it certainly isnt because he isnt a good footballer. And it certainly isnt just because of Twitter (otherwise Enrique would have had the exact same treatment)

This argument has turned into petty mis-quotes and pure horesh*t which proves your level of intelligence.

    Go away.

No, you're right. It's because of the twitter stuff on top of all the other incidents Barton has caused during his time at the club.

Ah just like a young Tash who rambles on and not prepared to accept someone elses point of view, be glad when you go back to school next week. Cause you certainly can't have a level head debate about football matters.

Save your breath mate, he seems to think Barton has done nothing wrong since he's been at NUFC.

Well then. So why are the club trying to make out it is because entirely of the Twitter crap???

This was the very small point I originally made that every d*ck and his dig decided to disagree with!

The Twitter stuff is being made as an excuse to get rid of Barton because Ash just doesnt want him here. Whether its his past, or he has too big of an opinion, or he isnt the 'type' of continental footballer they want......doesnt matter.

Its a ridiculous decision. With no genuine substance. With tripe fed to the fans. Which the morons chomp down on happily.

    Wood......Trees......where am I.......cant see anything........HELP!!!!! :O
