suppose, but wasn't their supposed value £170m when they took us over? and isn't it now listed at £417m? if they're making money that quickly they can afford to use their time more profitably elsewhere and forget about whatever they put into hull city.

Something doesn't add up here. It's like successful businessmen have made a terrible business decision. What is the value of HCFC at the moment? £10-£15m???? Are the Allams intending on throwing away £40m. As Lambo says, the sensible decision, if they want out, would be to build and get us into the Premiership and then sell it off.

It's completely illogical.. unless the Allams are now broke themselves which would explain the refusal to invest further. But they're opening themselves up for a forever tarnished reputation PLUS further value deducted should the best players leave. The timing is terrible, Koren and co will walk if there's no ambition.

The Allams should have appointed Roy Hodgeson if they wanted the manager to tow the line.. Nick is a fan as well as the manager & that was always going to be an issue.

Why? This is down to the Allams and if they're packing their bags then what's the point in refusing to go?

I find them wanting to sell the club very hard to believe.

The suspension of Barmby is all but confirmed.

City self destruct again.

Sunday Times Rich List - Allam Family £417m, valuation of HCAFC of £20m in this - I know they've invested in the club and in the context of giving something back to the City if they are serious then this would be a long term investment. If all this is true it looks more and more like a land/property scam and they'll exit and write off the investment.

Just don't expect the city to thank the Allams if they wreck the club after a decent season.

There's no way we'll start with the players we have now come the start of the season if all this stacks up.

Potentially a very sad day...

The club have now made an announcement - no comment will be made at all today on Barmby speculation.

Ehab and AP have both told Burnsy they have no comment to make at this time, the Fail got the same response, it's definitely true.

The best solution if they really want to pull out is secure a take-over as soon as possible, the new owners re-instate Nick & so that may halt an exodus.. we can only hope this is what happens..

if you can't say things like NB has said, then your're better not working for the Allams. I was always certain NB was "testing their hand" when saying those things.. he kept shtum in January and covered up when insisting he didn't need any new additions but enough is enough.

I'm not denying you're inside knowledge into the club OLM because most of the time you're spot on! But does that really mean it's true? Half the time when a managers head is getting ready to be chopped the chairmen are saying "Oh no his job is FINE" instantly denying it.

Maybe this is me hoping the worst won't be coming :/

It all appears doom and gloom

But on the upside if it was going to happen now is the best time with preseason to sort the mess out

on a side note there are currently 314 users browsing this thread. (61 members and 253 guests) is that a record

With over 400 users can I just ask - Is anyone interested in buying Hairdressing salon furniture? Top quality stuff and good prices!!!

I'm not so sure - this way we have a full transfer window to survive. Bring into the equation that we'll have no money and no manager, that sounds like no players in and several players out to me.

He's trending on Twitter...

Absolutely no idea what to make of this. Whilst if I'm being brutally honest, I wouldn't be THAT bothered if Barmby wasn't our manager next season. The apparent reasons behind this scare me ****less.

if the club issue a "no comment" then its most probably true .

what did Barmby actually say to upset the Allams so much ?

None of it makes much sense , we are close to offloading the high earners freeing up a lot of cash for decent Championship players .... arnt we ???

Yay - pass me the bleach.

I'm not seeking in any way to justify this suspension, and I mean this in a peaceful spirit.

But now that you've been down in this division for a couple of seasons, and particularly now that the financial fair play rules are in place, you've got to get used to Championship money. We've been there ourselves: it's a painful experience but not the end of the world. Danny Graham cost us £200k up front and £150 extra after add-ons - that was considered big money for us, despite the fact that only two years earlier we spent £3.5m on Nathan Ellington and £1.75m on Jobi McAnuff.

It depends. If they sell quick sharp there may be a transfer kitty, if they let the sale drag on (and that depends if there are any interested parties) then it looks gloomy.

So the question is.. is HCAFC a saleable company right now?

I'd say with no debt and a quality young squad who will rise in potential value, it's quite a decent investment..
