<ok> Like it. Would be tempted to put a subtle texture behind the logo in the centre, just to make the white a bit less abrupt next to the two pictures either side.
 
Looks like a rejig of the masthead will need to be done sooner rather than later guys? Is there going
to be any movement here; we can't keep the Nolan one now...

Thing is, by having a 'historic' banner instead of possible alternatives such as here-and-now players
or a St James' Park image etc. we all look like we're living in the past and what was then rather than
the future or immediate matters like matches/signings etc. I agree an abstract 'name' banner like the
red and white side of the NE is a bit weak mind - I don't think we need a magpie or a caps locked title.

Any further suggestions?
 
That's great, I only hope that Joey is going to stay now. Somebody have a word with him and tell him how much work has gone into making a new banner and it'll all be to no purpose if he leaves. <ok>
 
Get Steve Taylor on, or Colo, or maybe even one of the new lads like Cabaye. Seems like a nice fella.

I wouldn't be a fan of the toon legends. It's just stuck in the past a bit and gives the impression that we have to resort to players from a decade ago because we can't find any current players who are good enough. Let's move on from the past and create a banner which represents our new modern team.

Sort out the blurryness of Tiote and I'd love that banner on here. It's awesome. The addition of SJP (and Krul of course) is a great touch.

if we went with legends although a good idea,,, would be disapointed to see benarfa and tiote removed.
 
You see with the black and white legends atleast we wont have to worry about changing it Andmcit's one however, has Barton and Colo who are linked with moves away from the club. So for that reason no. <ok>

Neatly done. But Krul's face is making me rage just from this thumbnail, if I had to see that gormless expression every time I logged in my monitor's days would be numbered.

I don't see why a mix of legends and current squad would be so bad. Moncur, Bobby Robson, Beardsley, Shearer, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote sort of thing. Wouldn't have a problem with Barton in either as long as the layers are preserved in case he gets sold!
