<steam> Certainly players that left a 'mark' on NUFC...

to be fair, 40odd% of posters here have voted for the toon legends option on this
thread's poll although the other voting options were single player specific rather
than offering a choice of a current team cross section.

It's easy to replace one player in the version I posted here earlier as I do (as rightly
suggested), have the layered photoshop file to painlessly edit it. The Tiote one is a bit
fuzzy around the edges so I could search out the same image in a higher resolution
- I quite like to see a bit of 'animation' in the player's faces mind (Barton + Krul) as
usually when playing some guys look like they're close to pegging out!

Another problem with featuring the new signings Cabaye/Ba/Marverous <<sic>>
is the lack of any "action" shots of them in toon kit and the theory goes a bit of
phototrickery will likely see them play totally rubbish football until they "find their
feet" and it'd be a constant kick in the balls every time the site loads up it's
masthead... lol

anyways when are we going to change the banner? I'm getting sick of Nolans brackett.
 
So you didn't actually say anything apart from agreeing with 5goals and you got negged? Did 5goals get negged too?

Not a problem though, just make it known that somebody has negged you and you'll get + rep to make it up.

I just said something like 'Cracking idea that would be brilliant'
not sure if 5goals recieved any AB.

Maybe a revised player banner awaits the dust to settle after all bets/bids are in
when the shutters come down on the current transfer window?
 
NO LEGEND PLAYERS.

They're not here anymore. There's new players here to lead us forward so lets focus on those. We've got enough in the team to be proud of right now.

Why? I think it's a bit offensive to existing players tbh. Every other team forum on this website has current fave players, but we have to resort to old players who haven't been here for decades?

To me it just adds to the impression people have that Newcastle fans are stuck in the past after the CL matches we had. If I come on this forum I wanna see the players who are gonna take us forward here and now. Ben Arfa, Tiote and so on. It gets me much more excited than a load of retired players from past generations.
