I'm at a haunted hotel tonight, I think there's more chance of seeing a ghost then a new signing.

Anyone know what the situation is now we have had a bid accepted ??

Normal a deal is agreed then the player comes over for talks then possible a medical if everything goes according to plan??

As per nobody knows a thing as is the same as remy, if we have agreed a loan deal then why is he not up here finishing things off and not playing
In the fizzy pop league today
Like it has been suggested.

Finally what is going on with the other
Parts of the team that are thread bare
Like the defence.
Imagine colo gets laid of again ??

Were just waiting for the agents demands to scupper the deal

As well as his thoughts on Remy and Bent situation, Mark Douglas had this to write about the Gomis transfer in todays Journal:

'The Journal can reveal Gomis’ representative is French super-agent Pierre Frelot, who was at the centre of a similar row when Newcastle failed to land Mevlut Erdinc in 2011.

However, the good news for Newcastle fans desperate for progress in the transfer market is the move is likely to go through in the next few days because Gomis is sold on the move and there are no other clubs prepared to do a deal.

This leaves Frelot looking somewhat isolated and apparently contemplating his position.'

Don't understand what could be taking so long to get these deals done? Are we sitting around trying to teach JFK how to pronounce their names properly before we sit down and get them signed up? Agent fees, sell on clauses etc etc can only take so long to sort out and if like I suspect the deal was done earlier in the week (as Lyons owner said it was) this should have been done days ago.

That's why I think it is way too early to think they are likely signings.

Lyon President Aulas has denied the 5% is an issue and said the Gomis to Newcastle transfer should be completed this weekend. #NUFC #OL

This transfer is dragging out so long and we are paying far more than he's worth with his contract running out, so the laws of chance suggest he's going to be rubbish if we ever do sign him! It's just the way these things work.

Aulas has changed his mind again. From 'should be completed this weekend' to:

J M Aulas: 'It could still go haywire. There are minor issues which could cause problems.' #OL #NUFC #Gomis

J-M Aulas: 'Either way, the deal won't be done for another 8 days probably.' #Gomis #OL #NUFC

I would call their bluff, say they have till 17.00 hrs on Monday for him to sign
If not the entire deal is off and will not happen regardless and we will need to move on
It's a simple process !!!

Agree with you there. The bloke can't be that desperate to come here. Either they agree soon or f#ck them off.

Mind you, there's not many CF's available at the moment.
