In response to Swords' eloquent OP - is it as sincere as it would appear at face value? You can never tell. One moment he's on a well disguised wind up for the hell of it, the next he's all caring and sensitive about the best interests of the board. Wolf in sheep's clothing to us veterans on here - but still a leading act for many.
In response to Norf's 'round, round' non-comment. Couldn't agree more. Seen it all before, before, before...
So let's go again.
This is a fans' forum. All about 'voicing' opinions. Anyone who thinks we're all cut from the same cloth and see games and player performances in the same way is seriously away with the fairies - and there's certainly one or two on here aren't there?
As I've said a few times before, it's a bit like us all standing at a distance around a tree. If we each describe that same tree from our personal angle, they will vary greatly. Shape, form, texture, light, shade will all appear to describe different trees. Take our opinions on SWP and even Mackie on Saturday. Some of us thought they'd done nothing comparatively and others that they'd done pretty well under the circs.
However, vive la différence as they say. I for one, come on here to trade opinions. Not to convert people to my point of view but to benefit from their's. If I'm watching TV or sitting in the Ellerslie, I can't see what those in the Loft or SAR stands are seeing and vice versa. Rather than trying to merge opinions, the great thing about a fans' forum is to keep them separate, thus providing the unique opportunity for a multi-dimensional appreciation of all things QPR.
If I had one wish for the goings on on here it would be to banish intransigence. There should be no such thing as pro or anti Trapped. Just an audience response to his latest performance, good, bad or ugly.
True fans, if there's a distinction, go mad either way. Roar when we score, moan when we concede and depart at the final whistle to a weekend of utter despair, euphoria or somewhere in between.
That, my friends, is the way of fandom. No point trying to stage manage individual or group opinion. Those basics will never change.
