Broken record only works when a person is repeating themselves - but PLT raises a good point.

The "give away the club" line was not a sarcastic response - it was a genuine response to a direct question about what he would do in the event that the name change was refused, and no buyer was found. He then reinforced what he said by reiterating that once he says something, he doesn't go back on it.

He's now gone back twice in two days.

Oh I'm sorry did someone force him to say he'd give away the club? Catch him off guard? I thought they were there for the press conference HE called.

He stated his intentions, and he was asked a genuine question about what would happen in the likely even of neither situation come to pass.

He responded, and then he closed off all avenues of retreat.

There's no "he's damned if he does and he's damned if he don't." - he painted himself into that corner.

And if anyone thinks the "sarcastic" clarification today is from him they're deluded. Ehab and his team behind the scenes are now trying to fix the car crash that was Thursday afternoon.

If THAT flag is displayed at the KC the little oiks that get it out should, deservedly so, be banned for life from the ground. Anyone that wants AA out really isn't looking at the big picture, and has a very short memory.

Or perhaps just don't like the club being run by a liar with more interest in his own ego and pride than the football club.

Thats free speech in action, the rewards of living in a democracy. Mr allam who fled a dictatorship should appreciate it more than most. You may not agree with it or like it but thats how this country works.
