Personally think it’s ripped through us all and the ones that where in trouble in terms of health issues have either survived or unfortunately passed away.

Now the population is attuned to it so it’s now like a bad cold: but not as you say as bad as flu.

People quite often say they have had flu, they ain’t. You only get that once or twice and you are seriously badly with it. Bed ridden for days.

Anyone who says they had flu and went to work are just talking utter tripe.

No COVID was quite clearly real. I know I've had it and I can't put it down to any other virus similar. Each to their own mate. The vaccines may have helped a small select number of people with serious underlying conditions (largely immune related) but to what extent is very very difficult to pinpoint. I think it might have helped old people with weakening immune systems. I feel fully vindicated in my decision not to get vaccinated and think those who behaved the way they did to those who took that choice should really take a long look in the mirror. They were wrong, no ifs or buts. I know plenty of people with serious underlying conditions who had little or no issue with the virus without a vaccine. I myself had an underlying condition that saw me offered my vaccine before my 67 yr old mother.

They lied from their back teeth about the number of deaths from COVID as I said all along and that has now been proven through FOI requests. The whole fear campaign was exposed ages ago. It was always suspicious why they hung to that "within 28 days of a positive COVID test". In this country alone the numbers who died without any other underlying condition was ridiculously low in comparison to what we were fed. As usual I suspect this was hijacked for other reasons. They are still claiming COVID claimed the lives of 163K people in this country. Its simply not true. The truth is we will never know the true extent of the what COVID was or wasn't because of deliberate manipulation of facts and figures. Many woke up as things went along. They lied about the effectiveness of the vaccine throughout too and just kept moving the goalposts. At one stages it stopped transmission, then it helped stop transmission. All these things were just levers to force people to take something. Its not right.

One thing I do know is that it is pretty clear evidence the vaccines are not the reason we got out of the pandemic. As with most of these things in the past, its simply humans adapting to viruses as we always have done. That is obviously harder to do for old people with weak immune systems. Hence Africa despite the modellers doomsday predictions for them, has an incredibly low death rate despite their inadequate healthcare systems and low vaccination rates. And don't even get me started on the morons at SAGE and the modellers all the Karen's were hanging their hat on. Neil Ferguson is as an absolute **** tard. Thank **** we had the sense not to fall for his doomsday prediction a third time, or we'd all be still in that perpetual cycle of misery caning our economy for no reason. Sorry but there are massive lessons to be learned both for the general population and the those making the decisions. We got it catastrophically wrong and we are all paying for it now. 'The science' must never ever be abused like that again. As I said at the time we need to have more open minds and listen to other points of views instead of cancelling them because they didn't fit a certain narrative.

Very true mate about the flu thing. I've had loads of people say I've got flu. The analogy a doctor friend gave me many years ago about this was what told me most people haven't a clue. He said if you had flu lying in bed and you looked out the window, saw a £20 note flapping on the fence outside, would you **** go out to get it. Its debilitating and wipes you out. If you have flu, you'll be in bed for 3 days and 1 of them will be spent in bed ****ed. I do think it spread through the population and we adapted to it, lost people we were going to lose, then got to where we are now. Sad but that is how it goes.

    For what it's worth:

From my understanding (I'm a hospital based acute response clinical practitioner) much fewer people are becoming seriously unwell or dieing from covid-19 presently due principally to two factors:
    1) as with all viruses, due to copying errors they continually change, usually becoming less lethal to their hosts. The major type at the moment is Omicron. It doesn't penetrate lung tissue as severely as the delta version. So proper pneumonitis cases are fewer.

    2) unless the world's health institutions are all in a conspiracy of deceit of massive proportions, vaccines (like many vaccines over many years have performed) have provided most of the population with some protection of the more serious episodes of covid-19.

I believe we're past the worst of it. That is my hope. The only positive covid has had that I can see is that flu numbers in hospital have been virtually none exist for two winters.

    It’s reassuring to hear this.

It’s maybe now just a virus we have to live with and get jabbed every year.

Like you say Flu is down which is actually quite interesting if you think about it.

I've definitely found a line of attack here, but I think many fans are beginning to realise max is poor in many areas.

Aha so now you've proved me right you didn't know my position.

You spent years abusing and bullying Joelinton.

I'm simply saying max isn't very good in enough key areas and right now doesn't deserve to start.

That will hopefully iron out the creases for you

Nobody knows your position. Or everybody does as you have every position and option covered at any given time.

No it's really quite simple mate I just don't think Saint max is a very good player. He's a world class dribbler on his day.

There's so much more required in so many areas he falls short in

If people criticise other players it's fine though?

Should have clarified for the teachers amongst us that that relates to over a period of time and when uninjured and healthy.

ASM definitely has areas to work on. Eddie will assess whether he is going to be responsive to the training and development required. It would be a massive shame if someone of that talent can't be coaxed into more than an impact player. The bottom line is the move to a modern pressing game has highlighted his weakness - workrate. If you watch the likes of Salah, Mane etc they all work off the ball. Luis Diaz against Arsenal dared to try and down tools after losing possession, Klopp was on him and shouting and cajoling him to win it back. To be fair he got up and did exactly that. St Max can do it if he wants to. If he does he will be the best player we have. But a few Insta videos in the gym working out isn't going to cut it. He'll need to get super fit and commit to being the full package. He'll need to stop chucking his arms around when he gets dumped on the floor. Or he will end up an impact player from the bench.

He needs a bit of protection too from refs. Eddie will get him that with complaints but he'll need to buy in first I suspect. I'm hopeful he'll respond and become the player he should be. We don't want another HBA situ where it remains a mystery why he was just another could have been. He should use HBA as his motivation. That lads career could have been anything as he had talent to die for. ASM is similar. He has shown the odd sign early on for Eddie, hopefully we can extract more. If we can we've got an absolute world beater.
