One to watch out for tomorrow: Midday's first foal (colt by Galileo) called MIDTERM makes his debut for Sir Michael Stoute in the 2.25 at Newbury.

It looks a hot maiden, plenty of future stars about hopefully. Stoute had a first time out winner at Chelmsford yesterday to celebrate his 70th b'day, would be nice if this Midterm followed suit today. Bit of support about for the Varian horse Shabeeb today as well to add spice to those already raced.

A very pleasing debut, definitely one to watch next year.

Great win on debut. Didn't Midday win a few as a 2 y-o as well if my memory serves me right?

I had to look it up, but surprisingly she only won once at 2, taking 3 attempts to get off the mark and then finishing 4th in a Listed event on her final start that year.

Can't believe it was that price as it has been flagged up several times on the gallops. As has Ullysees

Just been announced that Muhaarar has been set at £30,000 for his first season.

Juddmonte have also announced their fees with no additions to their roster. FRANKEL stays on £125,000 for his crucial fourth season. Dansili drops from £100,000 to £85,000.

It's better than the rumours I had heard which were that they were going to take him off the market altogether and only breed their own mares to him!

Suppose he's still cheaper than Galileo. Cape Cross seems cheap but is 22 next covering season.

Cape Cross is cheap, but his problem has always been that he's not a "sales sire". Whether his offspring just don't look the part as foals/yearlings I don't know, but they never make big money at the sales. I guess they're not massively precocious and many commercial buyers want a quick return on their investment.
