His name was thrown about few weeks back, when Derby did go into administration, heck I'm sure his name was thrown about before the Mags deal went through.

Derby and Ashley will be a deal made in heaven for both, Ashley with the knowledge of how to handle a distressed business, with a view to sell for profit in the future. Derby, wanting to stay in existence is one, and I guess wanting a businessman, with knowledge of football at the helm.

Sure, the jokes about 'Pride Park' name being changed to 'Sports Direct Arena' or something of that ilk will be thrown about, but they did rename the ground 'The iPro Stadium' for a short time.
 
Let's be honest, he is exactly what they need to get them back on an even financial footing.

It won't be pretty as everything becomes Sports Direct this and Sports Direct that, but to give him his due he knows how to keep a football club afloat
