If there's a world record for best reception ever recieved by an opposing manager and captain at a football match, I think it will be smashed when we face Preston!

Do you not think this has tarnished both reputations?

I hope not, Ash is a club legend and that's that. Phil Brown was frustrating at times but so is NP. He still achieved the impossible with us and they both deserve a good reception. I know I'll be welcoming them.

Captained us through 4 promotions, split the crowd 50/50 but in my eyes he is the BEST captain and leader we have ever had, and although I feel this is the right decision to let him go, he will go with my thanks for starting the dream with that screamer at Yeovil. Thanks Ash. City Legend

I just think it's a shame that it had to end in acrimoniuos circumstances and walking out of training on Thursday after finding out his best mate Bollard had gone is a little sad

She said it was a free transfer which i find a little strange

Yep this is a frustrating & disruptive bit of business for us..... lost a solid player but more importantly a big leader on the pitch.... no fee & we have to payout for a new player on the last day of the window where options might not be good & deals don't come cheap on the final window day!

It is, and again, it raises serious questions about the management set up.

Disappointing that Ash has gone, a true City legend and we're letting him go out like this. Pathetic.
