Half of your arguments here are redundant. Soo and soo hasn't been good for us.. well duh. That comes down to the manager.
Hear hear! He is completely out of it.. This job has come too soon for him!In any case, I've lost faith in Arteta after tonight. He keeps making the same mistakes every game and never learns. He's out of his depth.
Whilst I agree, who/when/how do we replace him. Since we have progressively gotten worse with each manager change, I'm not sure what we are going to do to get better. Can we even attract a decent calibre of manager if we are not in Europe next year?Hear hear! He is completely out of it.. This job has come too soon for him!

Agreed, Rafa would definitely steady the ship.who: Rafa Benitez
When: this summer
How: we grow some balls, admit the Arteta appointment was an idiotic gamble, sack him and appoint Benitez
Yeah agree unfortunately. I like Mikel and want him to succeed but it may be he needs to work his way up to this level.I refuse to believe that other managers wouldn't establish a clear identity at the club after being there for nearly 18 months. I also refuse to believe that other managers would have us performing as badly as this. Or that they wouldn't learn from their mistakes as frequently as Arteta doesn't.
There are a host of other managers who would improve on the rubbish we've mustered up for most of this season.
Or dare I say even Aston Villa, with the amount of talent at our disposal we made an out of sorts Liverpool look like world beaters again! Arteta really is a fraud!Leeds pulling off a result today against the runaway leaders shows what can happen when you have a manager in charge who knows what the heck they are doing. I am sure someone will come on here and tell me, Leeds have a better set of players than we do!

I do think the whole culture of players skipping the line on managerial jobs just because of their name is becoming a problem in the sport.
If only Arteta could get us to beat City in an important game like an FA cup semi final...Leeds pulling off a result today against the runaway leaders shows what can happen when you have a manager in charge who knows what the heck they are doing. Bielsa would do much better than Arteta with our current squad is what I am alluding to!If only Arteta could get us to beat City in an important game like an FA cup semi final...
Oh wait.
Seriously you can't treat freak one-off results as evidence of anything. We've beaten big teams too on occasion under Arteta. Doesn't mean he suddenly became awesome.
Would he? Based on what? We've had these arguments before about Wenger and Emery. 'person x' would come in and do better than 'current manager'.Bielsa would do much better than Arteta with our current squad is what I am alluding to!

I think the size of the job for our club specifically is the problem. We just have a lot wrong: a culture where players don’t need to win, no money to spend, expectation of yesteryear from the fans to challenge etc etc. Arteta might have done well at a club like city where he could spend £200m if it was not working.
but again, this is all why he is and was the wrong appointment. The board and people upstairs in general are idiots.
Are you insinuating that, there is no manager out there better than Arteta (who until he joined us had no managerial experience) tha can come in and do a better job with our current squad? I disagree that the only way out is spending.. I have even seen coments saying half of the team are not good enough. We are not citeh or chelsea, not in our DNA to spend our way out..We have to coach what we have, improve them and organise them to produce consistently. I personally feel the ingredients are there, we need to stop villifying these players!Would he? Based on what? We've had these arguments before about Wenger and Emery.
