Contact or no contact, we invited the trouble, we were piss poor until the red card happened and were playing really ****. We can't keep ****ing complaining about Costa and Chelski's tactics, tired of listening to Wenger complain about it, instead of moaning, how bout we actually DO something about it, like say, win the game, and give Chelski a bloody good game and let them know we're here, instead of going on the field like scared puppies who have given up before the ball has been even kicked.

We were dreadful yesterday, completely dreadful. Time and time again this team has demonstrated a lack of mental strength, yesterday was sadly another example of that coming to the fore. Until we sort out our mental issues, we will not go anywhere.

    Not on the Arsenal board.
Not unless we are playing you.
Mostly stick to the Chelsea, United and Pool boards.

Whether there was contact or not, the defending in the build-up to the sending off was substandard. Flamini gave Willian the space of the universe to pick out the pass for Costa, whereas Mertesacker didn't know where Costa was and lunged in when there was no need to. Even if it led to a 1 v 1, it'd have been better for Costa to score when we have 11 men on the pitch than bringing him down and playing the rest of the game with 10 because we all knew from that point on that there was only going to be one winner.

Totally agree with this, the start - which was littered with miss-passing, miss-controlling the ball, giving huge amounts of room in the middle by not pressing, lead to the sending off, but what was Merts doing - he was never going to get the ball and left the ref with no alternative.

Looks like Giroud's the one who ruined Mert's day, Mert looks more miserable.

There was, I'm afraid. Watch Costa's left foot and Mertesacker's knee:

Horrible player, but he does actually get fouled in this instance.
Totally unnecessary and lazy challenge, made even worse by his bizarre look over at the linesman just before he made the tackle.
You could tell that he'd touched him by his reaction. No hint of a protest and straight off.

If i was u i'd be more concerned about my own mid table team rather than betting on whether Arsenal finish 2nd or not, 3rd 4th, whatever, it's still going to be much better than where Chelski will end up, mid-table.

You're talking all big now like the typical Chelski fan, always big mouthed and turning up when things are good, but for all that happened, it's just one game, you're still mid table, you're still **** this season, you're still miles below us in the league I don't even know how many points because it's so many even though you beat us. So yeah, enjoy your one game, in the grand scheme of things, it's not going to do much for you lot, because by next week you will be back to **** again.

Yesterday was your cup final, us on the other hand still have a lot to play for in this league.

Yes, you can beat us, but you will still be mid-table, so not really that significant. Nothing bitter, i'm just stating facts, you beat us fair and square, but you're still ultimately **** and mid-table, is that not true? Yes, it is. You're just bitter to the sad truth, that despite yesterday's win, it only solidified your mid-table position, lol, nothing more, no huge 6 pointer for the title race, or even for top 4, nope, it just strengthened your mid-table position and puts you that little closer to avoiding relegation. Now that your cup final is over, you'll go back to being **** and the laughing stock of the league.

And it doesn't matter if there was or wasn't. If he tried to jump over the foul tackle, succeeded and then lost his balance, it's still a foul. Contact is not mentioned in the laws on tackles. One thing that is wrong with the laws though is that I think Costa should nevertheless have got a yellow for over-egging the fall. As things stand that is not defined as 'simulation' and I think it should be.

I'm sure it won't be a 50 years wait for us to win the league again, as was your case in 2004, so in comparison, our current run without winning the league is nothing when compared to Chelski, with 5 decades without a bloody league win. But silly me, I forgot I was dealing with another plastic Chelski fan who jumped onboard the bandwagon in 2005 and believes that history started in 2005, and everything else before that didnt exist, I mean if 11 years without a league makes us a laughing stock, what the **** does 50 years without a league make you? It makes you the ******ed clown who's been bum annihilated by 30 elephants and then dragged by your balls around the circus arena by a chimpanzee.

And yeah, you're the champions of England, and currently mid-table, fighting to avoid relegation, enjoy the label champions, won't last long only a few more months, and then you'll officially be mid-table Chelski, back to where you belong and where you always were, :D.
