    Yep that's about right.

It's a shame that we are going through this period through. It does show that we still have that vulnerability in the side that has plagued us for the last 8-10 years. I do believe we need more leaders/fighters in the squad because we get our nervousness/anxiety from the manager.

Still we can win the league this year but there are issues that the manager has failed to fix time and time again.

The selection is the same team anyone else who watches Arsenal regularly would have played minus the possibility of switching Gabriel in for Mert, but I'd imagine that one fans would be split on (obviously with hindsight we all would have lol)

Oxo has dissapointed this season when he has had his chances to start games, I doubt anyone would have put him in ahead of Walcott of Campbell before the game. And Sanchez as I said wasn't fit.

I don't think team selection was the problem, it was the ****ty way they played for most of the game that was the problem!

We're still in a good position and as noted, we're better off at this stage of the season than we were last time.
But it was the nature of the defeat today that really concerned me. We just weren't at it at all. It was a bit like the Southampton game, where we just didn't turn up and got hammered. If Chelsea weren't as **** as they've been this season, we would have got battered again today.

We really need to make sure that we don't start these games against the big teams in such a pedestrian manner. We need to be pressing the ball and forcing the opposition into giving the ball away. It's what the good teams do to us. If we sit back against City and Spurs when we go there, then we are inviting problems.

Does anybody else think Elneny should be given the nod for the Burnley game ?
The Ramsey / Flamini combo has left us very exposed in the middle at times.

Doubt Flamini will play that game, good game to bring the Coq back, play him alongside Elneny, and Rosicky in the number 10 role, rest some key players for the more important mid week league game against Southampton.

Of course you're not, we are nowhere near as "entitled" as you lot.
You got beat by a very good team today, yes they are having a bad season but they are still the same players that walked the league in half a season last year.
Player for player there is little between the two teams (I would have Chelsea slightly ahead) so, to get beat 1-0 after going a man down inside 20 mins is no surprise or disgrace.
Give some respect to your players and more importantly other teams.

Yes you should but Spurs should have beaten Newcastle. This is just a Chelsea blip.

Just got back home from watching the game with a bunch of mates that are Liverpool and United fans. As you can imagine, it was not fun.

God, that was awful. I can't believe how every time we play this ****ing team, we always press the self-destruct button and lose our cool. Every ****ing time. We may as well start the season on -6 points because we never seem to beat these ****s nowadays.

Make no mistake about it - Chelsea are crap. The fact that they won does not change that. They are a very, very poor outfit. We still created chances and had openings even with 10 men, and despite Sanchez being the only real bright spark, they are still rubbish. I actually cannot believe we could not beat the worst Chelsea side for as long as I can remember. How we have managed 0 out of 6 points against them is utterly humiliating and that is an indictment on just how bad we were today and have been for the last month.

It's always easy to say with hindsight, but I personally didn't think Mertesacker should have started today because I knew the pace that Chelsea have up top could cause us problems and the fact that they have players who can play inch-perfect passes, irrespective of their poor form. Flamini starting was a mystery too because he kept vacating his position which meant Ramsey (as poor as he was) was trying to do two jobs at once. Elneny should have started this one, in my view, but whatever.

The fact of the matter is this: we have failed this testing month. Two draws and a loss is piss poor, considering the opposition that we have faced and considering we are supposedly title challengers. There is not a single player on that team except for Sanchez who goes into every game with the belief that they can win it.

Do I think we can win the title? I am tempted to say no because we didn't get the points return that we wanted this month and there are even more difficult fixtures to come that I don't feel the squad is capable of winning because of their brittleness. Southampton next in the league will be tricky, for one.

That being said, the only glimmer of hope that we may possibly have of winning this dreadful league is solely Alexis and Alexis alone. He is a fighter and can carry this pathetic excuse of a team. I'm not holding out hope though. Not in the slightest. Because nothing ever fundamentally changes with Arsenal and that is why I don't think we can be considered favourites for the league. It's City's to lose, in my opinion.

You're just in a bad run against Chelsea, it happens. They will probably be back to normal next week because this result was out of character with their play. Just a bogey team.

We haven't won our last 3 games, Spurs are 2 points behind us and we've dropped 2 places in the league. This is deeper than "just a bogey team". This is the fact that Arsenal cannot overcome the obstacles that would genuinely make us title challengers because whenever an opportunity presents itself to us, we do not take advantage.

We have been poor for the last month now and Wenger has done nothing to try and mix things up or bring in different players. He cannot instil a winning mentality into this team when it comes to league titles or Champions Leagues and it is a massive problem. He is still tactically questionable at best. He will never change, so what benefit is he to us at the moment?

Spurs didn't beat Man U for years, even when the ball crossed the line in one match Spurs weren't given it. It's the same now with Arsenal Chelsea, nine meetings without a win. Chelsea just don't go from almost losing at home to Everton to beating Arsenal away unless there's a bogey there. Sorry. Also a London derby, form goes out of the window.
