Still not quite yet, however, as ridiculous as it sounds this early in the season, I genuinely think next week is now a must win.
 
Well we could have Messi and Ronaldo up front but with our defence and poorly performing midfield they couldn't#t save us!
 
We need to average more than 1.5 points a game for remainder of the season. Even that will not be enough. So yes we are slipping deeper and deeper into the abyss.
 
TBH Even if we did stay up the squad would need a big overhaul..

We'd have to sell big name players and improve the defence a lot.

Sorry to correct you Flitton, but we only need 1.2 points per game to get to 39. Still not easy from where we are though!
 
Well having seen the goals he just needs to tell them to actually try and tackle the player on the bell before it's too late ?

I'm grateful to be wrong on this :-) and agree it looks very difficult from here. We have a team that has a porcelain defence and an attack that when it gets a chance in front of goal cannot take it. Not a good receipe for success.

I prefer to be an optimist, helps me sleep better at night
If we are still adrift at the bottom after Christmas, then its time to panic
Players naturally feed of our fears and our confidence
We need to support them whatever happens
One decent result can turn thing around
Every season we have had a run like this, difference being we were usually in 7th place when the wheels came undone

Hopefully santa can help us out before it is too late.
 
Deeney has lost his edge as a top striker but we still need him as a captain
Maybe he and Wellbeck can form up a partnership
Gray has lost his form and Delefeou just doesn't seem to care any more
