Very good point. I look at things as a balance though. Most stabbings etc in London are down to gangs, so my outlook is, don't join a gang. For every kid that gets shot or stabbed, there are thousands who don't.

Mostly, I agree.

However, wrong place, wrong time is enough to get you killed in London today.

The stronger gender maybe but why 'macho' which defines aggression?

Surely as the world's supposedly superior intelligent species we are able to evolve beyond aggression.
I suppose it's natural to show how macho you are when trying to impress females, and lets face it, they generally love it.

Yeah I understand the debate for debates sake and yeah you could argue it's a stereotypical reaction giving him a gun. He's also got a Bob the Builder tool kit and a plastic kitchen he cooks me plastic breakfasts in. However I think giving him a doll is only done nowadays in order to emphasise the Gender Neautral issue.

I don't think our genders need challenging but humans are obsessed with challenging everything...that comes with massive side affects. Humans are desperate to 'evolve' but you can't start making things up in order to achieve it.

Made me smile, especially the plastic breakfasts bit...mean that sincerely. Most top chefs are male btw ;)

Wouldn't agree with giving him a doll either, however, if a doll was the only thing available in a waiting room of children toys, how comfortable would i be giving that to my child or grandson...interesting. Which is probably why i highlight, is it an adult psychological barrier due to their very own upbringing, which they are then passing on to their siblings.

Which brings us full circle to the op. But are parents over reacting these days?

I’d say some, maybe.

But many are genuinely concerned for their kid’s safety. Trying to keep them safe from the kids whose parents don’t give a **** what they do.

And, ****ing *****s too, of course, are another worry. Not something that was thought about much when I was a kid.

Let's give them a doll instead eh?

Get them in touch with their feminine side..

I never said that. I'm challenging the psychology of adult thinking and how that affects our children from a very early age.

Take football as an example, it used to be seen as macho to drink, smoke and swear in a football stadium, let alone it was a frequent weekend occurrence for two rival teams to fight. How times have changed, mainly through what caused those psychological behaviours. But if you said back in the day all this was all going to be banned, you would have been laughed at.

As I said earlier mate, they were about but just not in the news. Overkill on a grand scale.

Times have changed because of CCTV mate. It would still be going on today, as indeed it still does but on a much smaller scale.

For the younger generation being such ****y *****s?

Scenario.
As I was getting my hair cut, I couldn't help over hearing the bloke in the seat waffling about simple things like.

Take the bus home don't walk (all off a mile)

Wear a long sleeve shift.

Don't forget to take a coat.

Don't forget your phone in case you need anything.

Your gran will meet you at the bus stop.

Etc, etc,etc.

Anyhow, as I was sat looking at Asian slut's, I thought oh he must be on about his daughter, protective father and all that.

But as it happens, he was talking about his 13 year old son. Ffs

What a ****ing fanny.

So are parents way way too over protective these days.

Are the kids soft as ****, partly due to the parents being massive fannies?

The worlds that much of a fecked up place at the moment with gangs of chavs carrying knives and guns etc i dont blame the guy to be honest.
Ill be rarey with my boys when they get to that age aswell because a gang of kids dont think twice about jumping people nowadays. Gone are days when lads had one on one fights with no weapons involved.

Could you imagine that child having his/her mates round and all they can hear in the next room is two blokes going at each other for a while then 10 mins later bumping into him wiping **** off his cock in the bathroom.

One way ticket to suicide city that ****.

hasn't killed himself yet but seeing his dad(s) do that has clearly had an impact on his life.
