just fed up with players allover the leagues just fake injuries .

its really getting out of hand now ... the amount of time wasted is unreal .

kills the momentum of the game and atmosphere aswell .

watched 3 games live the day ..and all i seen was divers and time wasters

might get the golf clubs oot if this gets any worse

thoughts guys

the rate its going instead of seeing kids pretending to walk up park steps thinking they are going to pick up a cup or mimic there fav player celebrations

or even skill s....... they can just roll aboot on the ground and pretend to be injured lol

game is stupid now ..jumpers for goalposts gone

Agree with you that "professionalism" as the so called pundits call it is just destroying the game now.
I agree with the above but part of the issue is ref's yesterday Delaney was pushing cissé every time he challenged for the ball in the air. Because Cissé didn't go down we got nothing. It encourages players to fall over as it's the only way they're going to get anything. E.g. Wickham being pushed lascelles. The lack of consistency drives me mad.

Difficult to watch. I mean Connor Whickham yesterday was embarrassing. The way he bought a couple of free kicks was ridiculous. Pardew was just cute yesterday and it almost worked. He sent them out to time waste, break up play, take ages over every dead ball, take free kicks wherever on offer, stay down after minor knocks, anything to upset the apple cart. At half time we were saying how toxic the atmosphere was getting. He knows how it works up here and it was worrying we were gonna get suckered. The crowd though came out 2nd half and really got behind them, we got involved and thankfully got the goal to put a stop to it all. Clever from the silver fox but not quite clever enough. The crowd rattled Cabaye into that miss too.

Generally though I just don't like all this ****. The refs should stop it and I maintain the only way to stop the diving and feigning injury is to retrospectively ban. No warning or card, just ban them where its clear cut. They'll soon rap it in.

that ref yesterday was letting them fook on with throw ins all the time what a dick ..

but even the hearts v celtic game that craig gordon goalkeeper lying down for 5 to 6 mins for a nothing challange ...then when he gets up .went down again to stop it ,

disgrace , he finshed the game and was running like a spring lamb all the rest of the game ..like what a cheat total crap its even in scotland now

Referees feed off the media. If the media talk about pushing in the box... Next week there's a pen for pushing. If the media talk about yellow carding diving... suddenly the refs start doing it. If the media focus on time-wasting... The refs will do something about it.
But it's all cyclical.

The problem with feeding off the media agenda is the media love stories, and if a ref denies them their story... Woe betide.

See Leicester recently, pretty much 100% of decisions have gone their way. See Drinkwater today, so in the box.

Simulation - Automatic red card. Would soon stamp it out
Or, shot by an unknown sniper in the crowd.

Sure that would have the same effect. Elephant guns with silencers on could be distributed before the game, say 3 each side of the ground. The relevant supporter using the gun would be free from prosecution provided that subsequent video evidence showed it was a dive/cheating/simulation/professionalism.

This would bring a new edge to the game in that the rest of the fans would not know if it was, say a dive and the player wasn't hurt when he stayed down but had then been shot or whether it was genuine and he was hurt.

It would also have the extended benefit of giving more options to pre match betting and assist Jak Man's Far East betting syndicate.

Anybody not mentioned Ashley Young yet?

He even admitted he has a knack for simulation

He is a cheat but at least he's an honest cheat.
